13 Tiny Things Every Bride Needs for Emergencies!

BY Sakshi | 28 Aug, 2017 | 3346 views | 5 min read

No matter how well-prepared and calm you are, a bridal emergency can happen to any bride! It can be something as small as smudged makeup to something as big as forgetting your lehenga back home (yes, that happened to a bride!) But it's always good to be well-prepared, and here are some tiny things (most of which can fit in a single pouch together!), which can tackle some big emergencies on your big day!

Here are 13 tiny things you should keep handy on your wedding day!

A handheld mirror which lights up!

This you've got to have around you at all times! A mirror is good enough, but if you want detailed inspection (thank you HD cameras), then a mirror with some magnification and lights is also much-wanted!

WMG likes this cool compact mirror which comes with a charger on Amazon

A handheld garment steamer

An ugly crease on your lehenga right in the front? Or a dupatta which did not stand the test of travelling in a car? Well, having a quick handheld steamer is pretty handy! You can quickly steam out the crease- even while wearing it in an emergency!

WMG likes the Philips Garment steamer available on Flipkart.

A makeup eraser

You're gonna have to touch up your makeup quite a few times on your wedding, and with all the emotions running high, you might have to erase more than just smudged lipstick. A good makeup eraser rather than makeup remover can really come handy!

WMG likes The Original Makeup Eraser available on Sephora.

A tiny hair trimmer

You're gonna have to avoid getting threading done for a couple of days before the wedding to avoid redness, but what do you do when you spot a stray hair on your eyebrow or upper lip or that bikini area ? Plucking using a tweezer might lead to last minute swelling or redness, so trimming or shaving it is a good idea!

WMG likes the Veet Sensitive Touch Trimmer available on Amazon.

Garment Sticky Tape

Bridal blouses can be tricky! The last thing you want is for your blouse to scrunch or puff up while you sit on the floor with a very clear view of what's inside! DST or garment sticky tape can come to your rescue! Tape up around the cleavage between your skin and blouse so no matter what you do- the blouse does not jut out in odd places!

Eyelash glue

Now this is something most brides do not think of, and this one is important especially if your MUA is leaving right after your makeup and you are wearing falsies. Eyelashes can come off due to heat from the fire during the pheras, so you might have to touch it up.

WMG likes the MAC Duo Eyelash Adhesive available on Nykaa.

Underarm sweat pads

No one likes unsightly underarm sweat patches, and whether it's due to nerves, the material of your blouse or the fact that it's a summer wedding, avoid the embarassment by using underarm sweat pads inside your sleeves!

WMG likes the Sweatex Underarm pads available on Flipkart

Blotting sheets

This one is a must-have, especially if you have oily or combination skin. You cannot keep layering powder after powder to touch up on your skin on top of all that makeup, so that's where oil blotting sheets come in handy!

WMG likes the Essence All About Matt Oil Control Paper available on Nykaa.

A mouth freshener spray

You're gonna have to stay quiet for long periods of time, and a bride with gum in her mouth might really stand out, so a mouth freshener spray is very very handy! Just a quick spritz and you're fresh like you've just brushed!

WMG likes the Listerine PocketMist Fresh Burst Mouth Spray available on Amazon.

Eye drops

Lack of sleep, irritation thanks to falsies, tearing up or just looking tired in general- there are a lot of reasons for your eyes to look red or start watering on your wedding, which might end up looking bad and ruining your makeup! So keep some refreshing eye drops handy to refresh those tired eyes!

WMG likes the Refresh Tears Eye Drops available on Medplusmart or your local medical shop.

Sheet masks

What if you want some quick fix to brighten, hydrate or refresh your face? Then a quick sheet mask is so so ideal for that! Use it for some immediate pep me up and freshness!

WMG likes the ones from The Face Shop available on Nykaa.

Quick Pedicure Kit

Your feet for sure are gonna get photographed on your wedding, so just to give them some TLC, keep an electronic pedicure system handy!

WMG likes the Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Foot File Massager available on Flipkart.

Thermal Water Spritzer

This is great to just get refreshed in a matter of second WITHOUT disturbing your makeup! Just spritz it to cool down and calm down your skin which might not be too happy to stay in that makeup for such a long time!

WMG likes the Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray available on Purplle.
