A Gorgeous Seaside Wedding With A Bride In A Pretty Pink Lehenga

There's something absolutely serene about a seaside dusk wedding that captures your heart and leaves you sighing with happiness. Well, Sumedha and Tanay absolutely agreed and decided to get married in Goa, with the setting sun and endless sea in the background. Sumedha looked absolutely stunning in a pretty pink lehenga and The Bombay Brigade★ 4.9 captured the beautiful wedding in a splendid manner!

Sumedha describes how when you know you've met the right person, yo don't need a right moment, because all moments become special, "Tanay and I met through mutual friends while we were in different cities about 7 years ago. For the first few years of our relationship, we would only meet once a month and have unlimited voice call plans to thank for helping us become best friends. I don't remember when we decided on being together but it just happened organically over the years."

I am from Jammu and Tanay is Maharashtrian. Both our extended families do not speak the same language and so we wanted an intimate wedding with just our close family and friends so that each side can get to know the other and their customs. We wanted to stick to a stipulated budget and were initially not sure if we would be able to pull off a destination wedding, but thanks to our planners and their extensive research we were able to have the wedding of our dreams. I wanted the decor to be elegant but not grand. The venue itself had a very rustic look with all its wooden cottages. It all tied together really beautifully and the result spoke for itself. Mehndi - we wanted this to be flirty and whimsical, so we went for an aquatic theme for all the custom fabrics and the backdrop. A tropic setup for the bar (because Goa!). For the henna - I had my bridesmaids doodle on my feet. Wedding - White and pastel decor to contrast with our bright outfits which looked resplendent against the ocean at dusk and hanging bulbs in the mandap ensured brilliant lighting even as the wedding went on into the night.

La Cabana Resort and Spa - Beautiful property and amazing food that could give even Dilli wali catering a run for its money. They also had a very professional hospitality team led by the manager, Harihar that made sure our stay was comfortable and without any hiccups.

Makeovers by Sukanya - She really listens to her clients. She understood the look I wanted and worked with me well before the wedding - helping me figure out my look once I had my jewelry and outfits locked down. I was going for a subtle look and she totally nailed it. Pinky Fernandes did my hair. Her work was so neat I would even say impeccable.

The Bombay Brigade - Mahesh, Khalid and their team are such warm people. They weren't intrusive at all and have such a great work ethic. Even when everything was wrapped up whenever they saw people clicking pictures, they'd put their food down and pick up their cameras! Did end up making me feel quite guilty :P They were punctual not only for the events but also in terms of deliverables.

All our events were designed by Weddingduo. Aliya, Vishal and their team worked tirelessly through the two days (often nights) to make the moodboards they'd presented to us a reality. The result was breathtaking. Every small detail was so well thought through. They understood the aesthetic we were looking for and added their own quirky elements to it. From the aquatic theme for the mehndi, to painted coconuts for the sangeet and a very elegant wedding decor, every event was perfectly coordinated.

Mehndi - Anantam, South Ex - They have a variety of designers under one roof. They worked with me through all my fittings and customizations and have a very helpful sales staff.
Sangeet - Manvi Kapoor, Shahpur Jat - Manvi has one of the most beautiful pastel collections in all of Shahpur Jat. It was very difficult picking out my favorite, but once I tried it on I just knew it was meant for me.
Wedding - Asiana Couture, Chandni Chowk - If you're looking for a "say yes to the dress" experience, this is the place to go. They knew just what I was looking for. It was the first store I visited for my lehenga shopping, and once I saw the lehenga I knew I didn't need to look anywhere else.
