A Striking Wedding In Mumbai With A Bride In Dazzling Gold!

BY Soha | 14 Jun, 2019 | 11745 views | 4 min read

We'll admit it- we were blown away by this bride's wedding look! It's so regal, and striking! And that flirty play of fuchsia with gold never fails to make a mark! Maybe that's why we hard a hard time picking the best pictures for you. You'll know when you see the number of wedding pictures we included in our post! :P

Well, it's not just that! This beauty of a wedding in Mumbai captures so many interesting things- the absolutely fun baraat (the groom ended up dancing in his own baraat in a plain shirt, changing into his sherwani later), the fabulously shot getting-ready pictures and a super emotive bride! The venue Taj Mahal Palace being the beauty that it is, played the perfect host while Cinnamon Pictures★ 5 made all the pictures look effortlessly stunning!

Meet Leera & Karan

Leera and Karan hadn't known each other since forever, even though their pictures say otherwise! "We were set up by people our parents had in common. Our parents didn’t know each other but people in common suggested we meet. And that’s how we started chatting over text and met 5 days into exchanging messages! Here we are now!", shares Leera.

From The Bride

"I work with Abu Sandeep and am an Interior Designer myself. So, I had a very clear vision for the wedding. We wanted it to be elegant and classic and not loud at all. Lots of florals and well sculpted decor elements to pretty up the already gorgeous venues we picked," shares Leera.

"The Cocktail venue, The Clearing House is known for some of the best food and best cocktails in the city and it’s a favourite of mine and Karan's so it was another obvious choice. The Taj was a winner Bcos nothing compares to the grandeur and class of the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai

Recinda Martis did my make up and she is well versed with South Indian looks for brides and made me look like a dream! Everything was perfect!

Cinnamon Pictures: Both Karan & I are not huge on posing for the camera & I was extremely nervous about being in front of the camera. Vaijayanti is a good friend of Karan's and she & her team made me super comfortable and we are so happy with our call to go with them! We absolutely love the pictures. Videographer was Siddharth Jain from Mumbai

Worked with the best people in the industry, Afreen Wedding Services did the florals and decor for the wedding (the Taj event). I’m very close to the team that founded the company so they were the obvious choice. No one comes close to their finesse and command over florals. They knew exactly what I wanted and got it done.

My cocktail outfit was done by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna from Delhi. The mehendi by Raw Mango. The wedding kanjeevaram saree was sourced from Chennai and embellished fully by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla The wedding dinner/reception outfit too a classic hand embroidered gold and off white Abu Jani sandeep Khosla! An heirloom piece!

Karan’s suits were Hugo Boss and his wedding sherwani was Sabyasachi," she adds.
