A Stunning Two States Wedding In An Offbeat Bangalore Location

BY Swagata Dam | 06 May, 2022 | 5621 views | 6 min read

College romances are beautiful! And when those love stories translate into long-term relationships graduating into marriages, they're all the more special. This one's about one such special story that started in a Uni library in Los Angeles. Not to mention, the couple tied the knot in a beautiful multicultural wedding at a gorgeous location. They chose their wedding venue in the peaceful outskirts of Bangalore amongst the lush canopies of eucalyptus trees. And the graceful South-Indian bride stole the show in each of the ceremonies with her unconventional and traditional yet remarkable ensembles. And the LightBucket Productions★ 4.9 team captured all of these moments wonderfully.

Meet Neha & Rishit

The gushing bride shares, "Rishit and I met while pursuing our Master's degree in USC, Los Angeles. I had bumped into Rishit in the university library during my first ever campus visit. We hit it off and became friends soon after and then fell in love over the years. Five years later, Rishit proposed to me in front of the same library where we had seen each other for the first time!" Both of them happen to be December babies and they share their love for travel.

Haldi

With some traditional décor, urlis for the bride and groom's seating, lots of genda phool along with some rain dance and pool time -  their wedding weekend started with a fun-filled Haldi function.

Sangeet

Neha dazzled in a sparkling ivory lehenga and performed with her friends, family and the love of her life - Rishit on various dance numbers at the Sangeet.

Wedding

This wedding was all about the union of two hearts and two cultures with a whole lotta love! Neha picked two absolutely magnificent sarees for her nuptial ceremonies and aced both the looks.

From The Bride:

We got married on 12th December, 2021 in Bangalore. Rishit and I wanted to blend the best of both our cultures for the wedding. I was keen on dressing up as a Mangalore/Tulu bride and he was keen on having a Baraat to dance at. We aligned on wanting only our closest people at the wedding and skip the large crowd. We wanted all the ceremonies in the same venue and make a weekend out of it. With massive support from our family and vendors, we were able to execute the wedding of our dreams mimicking a perfect 2 states vibe with authenticity, culture and lots and lots of love.

About WedMeGood:

I used it massively. With both of us living away from home, WedMeGood was the one-stop shop for us to pick our vendors. We found our venue because of WedMeGood and I truly credit this platform for the easing our process of planning a wedding. WMG was super helpful with vendor reviews, bridal shots, bridal fashion and in general, for any and all inspiration related to our dream wedding.

Vendor Reviews

Photography: LightBucket Productions

I had been following them for years!!! There were my first and only choice as wedding photographers. No one captures moments and blends them in the right colors like Lightbucket does. At this point it's very well established in almost all forums of how splendid their work is. I am glad they were available for the day and captured my big weekend in the dreamiest way possible. Photographers were extremely easy and a darling to work with. They did not meddle with the ceremonies and were very polite to work with.

Venue: Royalton Leisure, Bangalore

Royalton was the perfect resort for us. We wanted to host about 160 guests with an open venue for the wedding. Because we stay away, our families visited the property and fell in love instantly. Naveen was detailed and helpful in every step of the way. Royalton is a hidden gem in Bangalore that ensures complete value for money. We spoke to multiple resorts and venues but concluded Royalton as they provided the best value with pretty views all around.

Bridal Makeup: Prafulla Kotary

Prafulla executed my ideas to perfection. She was my artist for both my Sangeet and wedding. I got a LOT of compliments for my makeup on both the days. She was on time, easy to work with and very confident with her choices. I am extremely glad I went with her and would highly recommend her to any bride!

Wedding Décor: Floral Design Productions, Bangalore

Aditi was extremely pleasant to work with. She was very patient with her suggestions and while listening to my ideas. She was always available in the planning period. In a tight schedule and in the peak wedding season, the team was able to execute great décor for all our ceremonies. We changed our ideas more than once to accommodate the budget. Aditi and team were flexible and thorough in understanding our requirements and executing the changing ideas. All the décor was exactly as I had pictured with quality products. Would highly recommend.

Bridal Outfits: Haldi - Polka, Sangeet - Samyak, Muhurtham - Angadi Galleria, Wedding - Angadi Heritage - Advaya Label

For my Haldi, I found the lemon yellow-hued fabric at the Polka store in Bangalore and the in-store designer helped me with the design. They got the outfit right in the first go and it was the right burst of colors on the lemon yellow shade I was looking for. For Sangeet, I was looking for a silver/ivory shaded shimmery lehenga for my evening outfit. I looked at multiple stores until I bumped into Samyakk. The ivory shade was bright and shiny but not over the top. The embossed work with pearls gave a royal touch. It sparked radiance which is what I was looking for. Extremely happy with Samyakk and their collection! For my Murutha, I wanted a saree in colors different from the usual shades. I wanted a sea green shade more on the pastel end for my first ceremony. The authenticity of Angadi is unmatched for a South Indian Bride.  My wedding saree was a pick from Angadi Heritage - Advaya Label. I travelled across Bangalore for more than 5 days looking for the perfect wedding saree. I was disappointed with the collection everywhere because I couldn't find the right shade of pastel/pink. I was looking for a saree that radiated a modern woman's choice, who loves preserving heritage and wearing it with confidence. I couldn't find it and in fact, I had shopkeepers complaining about me being very picky! Until I came across the Gandaberunda prints from Advaya. Angadi Heritage swept me off with their Advaya collection. I knew I had found my saree shop the moment I walked in and saw the first few sarees. And a few hours in, I had officially joined the Advaya Bride club.
