A Stylish Sikh Affair in Jalandhar with Saffron Details : Amarjeet & Kirat

BY The WMG Bride | 07 Aug, 2014 | 13288 views | 3 min read

There are so many "Gasp out loud" moments in this wedding . Right from the heartbreakingly beautiful engagement rings , to the stunning powder pink invitation , to the floaty Shehla Khan & Anamika Khanna , to the gorgeous, gorgeous images captured by Dot Dusk Studios who have quite frankly, outdone themselves with some of their innovative compositions in this wedding . Grab a cup of coffee, lay back and devour the rest of this traditional Sikh wedding with a stylish twist

Meet Kirat & Amarjeet

This was a classic love-cum-arranged marriage . Kirat & Amarjeets families have known each other for a while, and Kirats first cousin was actually Amarjeets best friend, hence the connection.  However the plot thickened when they both coincidentally moved to San Fransisco for their higher studies.

Those two- the cutest little groomsmen ever ! How adorable are the matching outfits and saffron pagdis. MK3_7305 _MG_3987MK3_7464 IMG_0638-001

Love how the bride layered on delicate necklaces rather than one single chunky one and the addition of a touch of green against her saffron outfit

MK3_7208 copy Whenever we feature a Punjab wedding, we get mildly obsessed with the head jewellery- the maangtikkas! MK3_7412IMG_1172 wedding-gallery       From the groom: "The venues for Shagun and Sangeet were in Samrala, my ancestral village and everything else was in Jalandhar. We were both pretty involved in the planning and a lot of the decor ideas and inspirations came from Kirats head. The whole wedding experience has been beautiful for us as everything we envisioned fell into place perfectly. My standout moment would have to be the sangeet performance by Kirat's siblings and friends, and also the performance by Garry Sandhu who is also a friend. The wedding wouldn;t have come to life without a great list of vendors who really put together our vision. Shopping for this wedding was obviously the most fun part for Kirat and we both absolutely loved our outfits courtesy Anamika Khanna & Sabyasachi. To add to that we had an amazing team of Photographers at Dot Dusk Studios who did an exceptional job at capturing moments from the most important days of our life "
