Bridal Breakdown: Alia Bhatt In Sabyasachi

BY Sakshi | 15 Apr, 2022 | 11833 views | 2 min read

It's not too often you see a bride with minimal or no-makeup- especially when it is a celebrity bride. But Alia Bhatt knocked it right out of the park with her insanely minimal bridal look- there was no heavy makeup, no bun and not even a heavy bridal lehenga - red or otherwise. While she did wear top to toe Sabya, she was nothing like the other Sabya brides. She was subtle and elegant in almost no makeup, open hair, a dainty saree and stacked jewellery- is this a new trend she's kickstarting for brides? And of course, her biggest standout feature on her wedding was that lovely dimpled smile!

She wore a pretty organza saree in ivory and gold for her wedding- which literally happened in the balcony of their house! It was understated, elegant and very pretty on her, and by celeb standards, as simple as it could be! And see the bridal mehendi- very simple again with just a mandala design on the palm and design on the fingers.

She left her hair loose and minimally styled too- with just some soft waves and a hairband style mathapatti. which was such a statement piece! Her bib style necklace was beautiful with polki work, gorgeous jhumkis, stacked kadas and a tiny polki infinity mangalsutra were the perfect additions to finish the look. There was no pop of colour- all timeless ivory and gold!

Take a look at the kaleere- so minimal yet beautiful. She had lovely cloud and infinity kaleere by Mrunalini Chandra which were just so pretty! Loving the stacked kadas and bangles that accentuated her simple bridal look nicely. Oh, and that classic French manicure was on point too!

Also gotta love small little personalisations on the blouse- like those butterflies embroidered on it! She even had their wedding date embroidered on the dupatta- makes for such a cute keepsake!

She took a simple gold dupatta over her head which matched the work on the saree, and overall, we're absolute suckers for the whole look! Definitely a very nice refreshing change for a bride, that too a celeb bride!
