Beautiful DIY Boho Engagement On A Pretty Rooftop In Delhi!

A complete head-to-toe DIY Engagement in 2018, bring it on. This cutesy ceremony had everything going for it - from the Benaras lehenga woven by weavers to the dupatta handstitched by the bride's nani and decor that's executed beautifully and minimally by the bride's event management company, Andevi Events. Serendipity, a travel-inspired store with a rooftop made for a pretty backdrop while Nitesh Square Photography, kept the mood candid.

From The Bride:
My husband and I met in college. This was my sweet little bohemian Engagement ceremony which was very sophisticated and minimal <3.
It was totally home-made and we had a great time doing it! Even though I own a huge wedding decor company and do large weddings, I really enjoyed making mine really small intimate and fun! From the decor to my outfits, everything was DIY-ed. Of course, it helped that my mum and I are in the business of set design and clothes respectively.
My lehenga was woven in Benares by weavers there who knew my mum for over 6 months, even small things like my dupatta was handstitched by my Nani. The venue was designed by me and executed by my Andevi team and my family overlooked everything. My maasi is a Sufi singer, so she sang all the prayers and all the jewelry was from the heirloom set that belonged to my grandmother, some were designed by my mom. And the necklace belonged to my husband's grandmom.
Nitesh is a talented photographer - extremely skilled and so humble! He's so sweet he went and even plucked matching flowers for my hair from my terrace flower pot!
The Beauty Brigade for makeup is a cool idea and concept. Imagine a whole team of people coming to your house and getting you ready! Super affordable and very skilled at the no "makeup makeup". Ask for Somya, she was my makeup artist.
It was a Neena Berry outfit by Blue Lotus, the amazing textile revivalist and fashion designer who I collaborated with to style my look. It was traditional and contemporary capturing my personality and style. Also, she happens to be my mum :)
Serendipity is a beautiful boutique venue to have the Engagement. The only problem was that they were not very cooperative with catering variety and sound, as well as have very limiting time options.
My own team of florists and designers from Andevi are absolutely brilliant. I designed and conceptualized the entire decor and wanted to accentuate the existing beauty of the space keeping it simple, Indian bohemian and yet enchanting. It was like an old Indian vintage haveli dream that I wanted to create and they delivered.
