Intimate home weddings are gaining a special place in our heart and our galleries! Mehak & Rishabh is one of those. They chose to go ahead and get married in the lockdown, while taking care of all social distancing measures. With hardly even 50 people at the wedding, this couple tied the knot at the bride's home and the ceremony was beautiful. Mehak wore a gorgeous pink lehenga while Rishabh chose the traditional beige. From The Bride:
The journey from #kapslocked to #kapslockedown. Our wedding was scheduled to be on 3rd May. Because of the lockdown, we had to postpone. After midnight of 3rd May, the rules were relaxed. With cases rising daily, we realised waiting wouldn’t really help. So we decided to find our happiness and go ahead with the wedding. Even though 50 guests were allowed, we thought it was too much risk. Even Rishabh’s parents weren’t able to come and joined over Zoom. A day before we went to my grandparents house for Choodha and their blessings. We, of course, were loaded with masks and sanitizers.
My family gardner was our decorator for the wedding. He has known me since I was 7 years old. When we asked him for help for flowers, he took it upon himself to personally figure out the decor and my Jaimala design. He was there the whole time ensuring everything was sanitised.
