Dreamy Chennai Wedding With An Adorable Love Tale

BY Anupriya | 18 Jul, 2020 | 2933 views | 5 min read

For some, love happens in the blink of an eye. But for others, it starts with constant denial only to realise it later that they are made for each other. Such was Nivedita & Dhruvva Karthik's love-tale! When the duo first met each other through an arranged marriage setup, they had a list of reasons to say 'No'. But as fate would have it, the two ended up tying the knot in the most beautiful wedding ceremony ever!

Set amidst rich backdrops & love-filled environs, Nivedita & Dhruvva's wedding was a sight to behold. While the couple looked their fashionable best on all of their ceremonies, it was their wedding looks that we couldn't take our eyes off! Clad in an ivory and gold kanjeevaram with a bunch of noteworthy jewels, Nivedita was an epitome of grace. Dhruvva whereas, swore by an all-white look and looked every bit dapper.

If you're already hooked by these details, go dive straight into their gorgeous wedding perfectly captured by the team of Eesam & Co.

Meet Nivedita & Dhruvva Karthik

We were introduced by common family friends in an arranged marriage set up, when wedding was not on the cards for either of us at that point in time. On the first meet, I already had a list of reasons to say no, ready. Little did we know beyond our decision we were kinda smitten that we spoke engrossed for hours on the very first meet. Only to come back to our families with a NO. They had given up by then, but our cupid’s didnt. We stalked each other on insta and texted for about 2 months casually. By then we were love struck but in denial. And one fine day I get a call from dhruvva and that call changed everything for us. Before we knew it we were ready to take the plunge and trust in the magic of new beginnings :)

The Engagement

The Sangeet

The Wedding

From the bride

We had a beautiful wedding with lot of people, lot of love, riot of colours and infinite happy moments that still stays vivid in our memories. Being South Indians, we wanted a wedding that reflected us as well as our families. So we wanted our ceremony to have a good blend of contemporary & traditional touch to it. My husband and I, did most of the planning till the very last detailing and that was pretty challenging. But the best part was having friends and family come together from different parts of the world to celebrate our new beginning. It was an overwhelming joy to see them be there for us till the very end, From having them literally take charge of our sangeet so we didnt have to worry a dime about it (we absolutely didnt have to do anything except throw them a surprise couple dance) to fixing the last minute glitches to adding more life to the celebrations. Once the celebration kicked off, our roller coaster of emotions turned themselves in, and there was nothing but infinite moments to cherish for a lifetime.

Wedding Photographer: Eesam & Co.

Vijay essam and team, were a dream to work with (also literally). The moment I knew the dates of my events, the first thing I ever did was contact his team. I’ve been following their work for the longest time and had been a huge fan of their style of work. Even though I met the team for the first time at the engagement, I was surprised how comfortable they made us feel. Every picture helps us re-live the moments and reminisce the good times. They were extremely professional and friendly to work with.

Makeup Artist:  Chiselle Makeup and Hair

I have never been a fan of makeup until I witnessed Nowshiba’s work on me. She was an absolute delight to work with. I was pretty clear I wanted my makeup as minimalistic and as natural as possible and she caters exactly what you want along with a blend of her magical touch!
She works by enhancing ones' features rather than transforming a person into someone else. She gave me different looks for every event and I loved how the makeup was minimal yet distinct
