Exquisite Pastel-hued Wedding At A Scenic Winery!

BY Latha Sunadh | 11 Jun, 2016 | 8479 views | 4 min read

When a bride turns planner, you know her wedding would have been all kinds of epic. Neha & Zoheb's exquisite wedding was all that and more, with each photograph oozing understated elegance. We adore the gorgeous floral canopy, the jaw-dropping location, the glamorous but laid-back vibe to the wedding and of course, the stunning outfits on the bride.  Add to the mix fun signages and unique wedding favours and you have yourself a wedding for the books. Shot to perfection by Heather Liddell.

Meet Neha & Zoheb

“We first saw each other around 7 years ago during a New Years party when I had come to Fiji to visit friends and family while I was living in Sydney. Zoheb came to Sydney for “work” every couple of months before we made it official. We did long distance for around 3 years until I moved to Fiji,” explains Neha.

My proposal story was such a beautiful one. Zo took me to Wakaya Private Island Resort in Fiji as a getaway. While I was relaxing and enjoying our beautiful Fijian villa , a lady told me to follow her to the Spa . As I came to my villa  there were two of the same Sass & Bide dresses - one in navy, and one in white with a note saying : “Take your pick..Hope you like it..Call reception when you are ready”. Within minutes of me slipping into one of the dresses, there was a staff outside with a car who picked me up and took me to the spa where I see Zo all dressed up standing by a beautiful private dinner set up with an amazing view. While having Champagne and cheeses we casually spoke and I said to him.. “I am seriously the happiest person right now” and that was the moment he went down on his knees and asked me to marry him!" adds Neha.

From The Bride: “Both Zoheb & I live in Fiji and we had agreed on a destination wedding. After much ado, we chose Hawkes Bay.  Our wedding was held at Craggy Range Winery. I loved the natural beauty of this venue, the unique backdrop of the dramatic form of Te Mata Peak along with the lake & vines was absolutely breathtaking,” says Neha.

“For our Indian Night we went for a colourful, joyful event with saturated gold , pink, oranges and purple, Bollywood glamour & dancing.    I had brought in 130 lanterns from India to lend that authentic feeling to the event .  For our Wedding, we wanted a simple yet elegant & luxurious feel, therefore I styled the event with cream, blush, soft pink & a touch of darker pink blooms & foilage along with large crystal chandeliers, candle-stands, candelabras and waterford crystal vases,” adds Neha.

“For my outfits - I had made two trips to Mumbai. Both my lehengas are from Sabyasachi from his Ferozabad collection. For the Indian night I wore an ivory lehenga that stood out against the kaleidiscope of color around me and had my hair out with messy waves and a middle part for my headpiece and for the wedding I had a messy high ponytail with vintage waves to go with the gorgeous pastel pink floral embroidered outfit. ” says Neha.

“ I knew I wanted my wedding to be extremely detailed and personalised . I personally designed all our wedding stationary in themes of gold and ivory.  As the guests entered the ceremony they were given a ceremony order booklet, Fiji water & white paper parasols. As they took their seats; each seat had a white paper fan along with a linen bag filled with ivory rose petals with “Throw me- Neha & Zoheb” screen-printed on them. Finally, as they bid goodbye to us our thank you gifts were a gift pack of my favourite facial products “Forest Essentials” and mini boxes ofKoko black truffles placed on each table settling.  adds Neha.
