Intimate Christian Wedding In Mumbai With Some Creative Favours!

Christian weddings have a charm of their own, and this one was special because not only was it planned by the couple themselves entirely, but we loved how the venue stood out so beautifully- away from the chaos of Mumbai by the beach and done up perfectly for an intimate wedding which looked dreamy! The bride looked gorgeous too, with her long tail lace gown and we loved the favour ideas they came up with. Aaron and Vanessa had a sweet wedding, and have an even sweeter love story. Check it out.
Meet Aaron & Vanessa
Aaron & I knew each other for a year before we began dating, we barely dated for 3 months and then had to leave India for jobs in 2 different countries. Uncertain about what the future had in store for us but certain that we were going to make this work we took off. The nature of his job was such that we'd only speak once a month, maybe twice if we were lucky but nothing more. We'd meet twice a year and that was all we longed for and looked forward too! Fast forward to 5 years later, it was the December of 2018 and as i landed back in Singapore, from a work trip to Australia, I was astounded to see the love of my life waiting there for me, the next day he took me on a date to a beautiful restaurant overlooking the ocean and there, he asked me to marry him! I truly was the happiest girl in the world and of course i said YES! Thinking about that day still brings butterflies to my tummy. We decided to get married in Mumbai, a year later.

Our love story to us was truly like a fairytale and we wanted to share this with our guests too, for them to feel like they have walked in to a fairy tale. With Aaron in the UAE, me in Singapore and the wedding in Mumbai, we knew it would've been a lot easier to engage a Wedding Planner but we wanted to add our own touch to our wedding and hence decided against it and honestly for us it was the best decision ever!
We enjoyed the entire process. We went over all the details very closely, big or small. We knew what we wanted each bend and corner to look like. We had personalised mini wine bottles for our guests, for when we raised the toast and champagne glasses with personalised illustrations for the bridesmaids, groomsmen and ourselves, a Shawl counter considering it was going to be cold and flip flops for the ladies so they could ditch their heels and dance the night away with us. For our wedding favours we wanted something that would remind our guests of us as also something that wouldn't just turn into a dust collector and so we thought of wooden table calendars! Engraved with our names & wedding date with an Acrylic Illustration of us that everyone loved. We enjoyed planning every bit of our Wedding and were Blessed to have our friends,family and all our Fabulous Vendors to help and support us throughout which made this experience so much more special.

Our invites including E-Invites were done by Pooja from 'Kaagaz- Your Wedding Card Boutique', she even helped us with designing our logos,Wedding Signages and Dance floor designs to run the same theme through everything.
Venue: The Resort Garden, Mumbai
Our venue was 'The Resort Garden' overlooking the Aksa Beach in Mumbai. It was the perfect venue for our 600 guests with beautiful flora and fauna,wooden bridges and water fountains all around.
Decor: Shirke Decorators
Our amazing Decor team 'Shirke Decorators' turned our venue furthermore into a Magical Paradise with Crystals,Lights, Chandeliers and so much more! They did digital presentations giving us the look and feel of our venue,all of which shaped up extremely well!
Cake: DCake Creations
For our Cake we wanted something Unusual and Rinku from 'DCake Creations' gave us just that!Apart from looking fabulous, it was the most delicious cake we'd ever tasted.
MUA & Hair: Ruby Wooo Mumbai
Make up an Hair for me was done by Rubina of 'Ruby Wooo Mumbai' and she did a great job at making me look and feel great, easy to talk to an fantastic at what she does!

Finally our amazing Photo/Videography team 'Rahul De Cunha Pictures' did an absoloutely phenomenal job of capturing every little detail that meant so much to us and surpassed our expectations! Rahul and the team were so easy to work with and they in turn made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera at our Wedding as well as at our photoshoots. It was a great experience working with them and we could've had it no other way.
Entertainment
We are both music buffs and considering music sets the tone and the mood, we wanted it to be perfect! We engaged Lindsay and Reena who are absolutely amazing Singers and Musicians for some live music and DJ Craig from Craig Sound Systems, they worked together seamlessly. They had everyone on the Dance floor through the night and thats just what we wanted. Our Emcee Newman Dsilva was Mind Blowing. Extremely Energetic and a Crowd puller,kept us and our Guests entertained through the Night!
