BY Sakshi | 25 Sep, 2019 | 11402 views | 4 min read

Usually it's the lehenga which stands out, but when you pick a peplum blouse, the blouse shines, and how! Peplum blouses are a trend which haven't been around for too long, especially for brides, but we are spotting more and more of them picking it for one of their functions, and we whole heartedly approve! Whatever your reason maybe for picking it, fact of the matter is, it does look unique and give a modern yet traditional twist to your bridal look!

Sabyasachi is a designer who probably gets credit for introducing the peplum style for brides on their wedding day as an option, and it seems to be very popular with Sikh & Muslim brides! But that doesn't mean we don't see other brides rocking this style!

Here's why a peplum blouse might be something for you to consider:

  • You love the style and peplum tops suit you well.
  • You're vertically challenged and want a more elongated look.
  • You want to wear a unique blouse for your wedding.
  • You want a twist of something more contemporary in your outfit.
  • You want to cover up your belly for religious or other reasons.
  • You have love handles which you don't want to show off on your wedding.
  • You want to wear a long blouse, but something that shows off your narrow waist.
  • You want an easy breezy outfit for the mehendi which is comfortable and not too skin fitting!
  • You want to skip the dupatta with a lehenga, and what a blouse style that works with the look.

Here are some styles for peplum blouses, lehengas and outfits suitable for every wedding function!
