#RealBridesReveal: One Precaution Other Than Social Distancing & Sanitising They Took At Their Intimate Wedding

BY Sakshi | 27 May, 2021 | 1021 views | 3 min read

Usually weddings feel like controlled chaos, but during the pandemic, there is way more stress on the controlled as it is imperative to make sure that things are not chaotic at all. Because, with your near and dear ones coming together and everyone craving social interaction after being locked up indoors, creating a safe but celebratory space is a challenge. So, we decided to ask a few coronial brides to tell us what measures they took, other than the basic ones, to make sure their wedding was as safe as it could be! If you are planning your post second wave wedding right now, then some of these tips could come in very handy!

Personalised masks

Real Bride Aparajita says, "So we gave out pretty personalised masks at our wedding- we had separate ones for the bride's and groom's side which made the whole thing even more fun. They were comfortable, and made the photos look really nice and colourful too!"

Different functions with different guests

Real Bride Palak says, "Since we could not accommodate more than 50 people in a gathering, we essentially celebrated 3 functions with a different set of guests each time. So in total, a lot more people could be a part of our celebration overall."

Plan the seating!

Real Bride Meha says, "We usually don't do it in India, but I did thanks to having a pandemic wedding. Plan the seating during your wedding and consider designing seating charts to be by household and/or families since those individuals either live together or are likely to be in a pod, social distancing them as a whole."

Multiple entertainment stations

Real Bride Isha says, "So instead of just one bar and one dance floor, where people would obviously crowd around, we made multiple such stations, so that people could really have their fun without being worried about being too close to anyone!"

Have lesser guests than the guidelines

Real Bride Aparna says, "During our wedding, the guideline said 50 people, but we invited 30 in total to be on the safer side, as this was a smaller, easier crowd capacity for us to handle and easier to socially distance while keeping all the measures in check."

Prefer plated meals rather than buffets

Real Bride Anisha says, "Buffets are usually the places at Indian weddings where people crowd around- that would even have at a dinner party at home, right? So we had plated meals instead- the decor was one with long tables where people could sit away from each other, and waiters who were tested and kept all precautions in check served the food when demanded."

Professional Live Streaming

Real Bride Tarana says, "Instead of relying on someone to hold a laptop or camera to show the wedding to all the Zoom guests, we tied up with professionals to live stream it so everyone got a very good view of the wedding, we didn't have to run around for it, and no one missed anything important!"
