A Delhi Wedding With Our Bride In A Custom Lehenga!

This Delhi wedding had everything we love about a true blue Punjabi shaadi! They had huge functions as well as an intimate Anand Karaj ceremony. They literally had the best of both worlds! The bride wore stunning and very unique outfits, but we absolutely fell for her custom made Anamika Khanna lehenga! It is totally different than anything we've seen in a while! JW Marriott Aerocity, Hyatt Regency, and Sanskriti Greens in Delhi made sure that they were the perfect backdrop for the various functions while Lakshya Chawla and his team at Shutterdown - Lakshya Chawla made sure to capture each moment beautifully!

Shreya talks about the chance encounter they had and how it took them one meeting to decide they wanted to spend the rest of their life together, "Ours was a typical arranged marriage, barring the fact that he’d hit on me at a bar 6 months before we met! Nothing happened during that encounter but it didn’t take us long to realise that we wanted to get married."

"Ours was a summer Delhi wedding. After tons on contemplation on destinations we settled with Delhi given the huge list of family and friends. We had a long list of friends who flew in for the wedding as well. We were certain about having a simple Gurudwara wedding but had bigger events that preceded and followed.
I think we put in a lot of time and consideration into each and every vendor that we picked. Personal involvement is a must if you want a hassle free wedding. Our wedding planners Panodrama Events were a huge help and made sure everything went off smoothly.
My qawwali night outfit was an emerald green and gold sharara by Sabyasachi. For the youngsters I wore a sequin gown by Rahul and Rohit Gandhi (H2O). My cocktail outfit was designed by Ekta Singh. For the mehendi I went with a butterfly blouse and yellow embroidered lehenga by Varun Bahl. The wedding ensemble was a custom Anamika Khanna lehenga, one that was very different from anything she’d previously done.
I went with SP Eastland for my makeup. Her style is simple and subtle and that’s what I was looking for. She experimented with a new look for each day but still kept it clean and elegant. Our wedding moments were beautifully captured by Lakshya Chawla and his team at Shutterdown. "
