Sister Of The Groom Style: Meet Divya!

BY Sakshi | 12 Feb, 2019 | 18551 views | 3 min read

Divya has been one of WMG's favourite brides, I mean, if she slayed at her own wedding, you can imagine she did the same at her brother's wedding too! If you feel like you've seen her somewhere, here's a link to her WMG Real Wedding Feature. So when her brother got hitched, we decided to feature her 'Sister of the Groom' look too, and she kept it classy and gorgeous as ever! So over to her as she tells us about each one of her looks and how she styled it!

Meet Divya

"Since I got married just earlier this year I wanted my looks to be absolutely different for my brother’s wedding. I also went for colours which I really wanted to wear during my wedding celebrations but that would have required a few more parties in addition to the never ending madness that it was ;)"

Look 1: Roka - Bright and happy in Anamika Khanna

"On my brother's Roka I kept it simple yet glam in a modern lehenga with a ruffled dupatta by Anamika Khanna in fuchsia. A ponytail, subtle makeup with bright lips and a contrasting choker necklace completed my look!"

Outfit: Anamika Khanna★ 4.8 ; MUA: Jasmeet Kapany Hair and Makeup★ 4.9

Look 2: Cocktail Night- Mixing it up in Raw Mango

"On the dhol/sangeet night which had an American Gypsy theme, I chose a traditional benarasi Raw Mango outfit in one of my favourite colours - Emerald Green. I wore my wedding day nath and styled it with straight hair rather than going for a conventional bun and minimal make-up. It was my take on modern day traditional!"

Look 3: Wedding Day Look- Gorgeous in Anita Dongre

"On the wedding day I went for a traditional burnt orange Anita Dongre lehenga with intricate blue & red french knotted embroidery. The styling was simple in a clean up-do which I decorated with tons of gajra’s in my hair, kajal in my eyes, and a bindi on my forehead. "

Look 4: Reception- Effortlessly stylish in Amit Aggarwal

"On the reception, which was a day party and had a Mexican theme, I asked Amit Aggarwal to design a modern & minimalistic outfit perfect for a sunny winter afternoon. I went for an ivory and gold lehenga designed with his bespoke weaves and innovative structure. The hair was breezy and the make-up brief was to keep it to the bare minimum & sunkissed."
