When we first saw her pictures on the Instagram, we knew it that we had to feature her wedding. Beautifully made, in such soft hues, Ruvneet's bridal lehenga was a hit. Planning our wedding amidst the pandemic was no easy feat, however, it really helped us focus on what was most important, family, friends and having a good time! While I have heard many say, “one does not enjoy their own wedding”, we had the most amazing time at ours and I think it was because we were surrounded by the love of our closest family and friends, worked with vendors that were like family and while we took the effort of personalizing each experience and ensuring that everyone has the best time, on the day of the actual events we decided not to sweat the small stuff.

Venue: Mehendi & Wedding - Siswan, Sangeet - Amaltas Farms
Before I knew who, I wanted to marry, I was already certain of where I wanted to get married. The venue was a private farmhouse in Siswan (close to Chandigarh), where I had spent many an afternoon admiring its regal yet rustic beauty. I took Tanveer to see the venue and he too fell in love with the winding drive through tall palm trees, the pristine landscaping, the meticulous stonework, the fountains and the pristine greenery. We locked down the venue both for a dinner hosted by my family and our wedding. Tanveer’s family hosted their Sangeet in another beautiful venue in the city, Amaltas Farms and all our other functions took place in the intimacy of our homes.

Zareen Bala did my make up for the both the dinner hosted by my parents and the Sangeet hosted by Tanveer’s parents whereas, Paveena Rathour did my makeup for the Mehendi and the Wedding. I am eternally grateful to both for not only being amazing to work with but also for making me look my most natural best for all the events.

I have known Tuhina from school and have followed her body of work closely, I was always attracted to her unique and effortless aesthetic. When it came to our big day, Tuhina was a delight to work with, she was both extremely professional and a very warm. She magically knew exactly what we would like and took no time in directing us to get there. I most admired her patience, attention to detail and her creative spirit. She has given us the most beautifully captured memories which we can now preserve forever.

We hosted multiple intimate functions over the month of November 2020, starting from 8th November and ending with the wedding day on 22nd November. The moment we finalized our dates I reached out to my childhood friend and most talented illustrator, Tripat Kaur Kang, to design our wedding invites, of which she did a fabulous job. As we had a very small guestlists and mostly local guests, we did not feel the need for a wedding planner. However, we had a fabulous team of decorators (Nikita Rao and Big Bash Events), entertainment managers (Soundtree) and caterers (Ambrosia), who collectively made each event magical! As we were merrily making memories, Tuhina Chopra Photoworks and Shri Gurudev Photogrophers most artfully captured the events.
