Nayla chose to wear a gorgeous lilac lehenga with a trail for her Anand Karaj and Sonu coordinated with her perfectly in a lilac safa and dupatta. The couple looked like a dream on the wedding day. Meet Nayla & Sonu
Sonu and I had always known about each others presence since childhood as the Sikh community in Denmark isn’t that big, but never really communicated as we were two opposites - he a cheeky bully and I a reserved innocent girl. So the falling in love part came years after when we had grown older and into our real selves. We clicked the very moment we met and knew it was going to be us as we shared the same values in life: love for family, friends, nature, humanity, animals, adventure, fashion, humour and most importantly: food! ?

We wanted to keep our wedding intimate and minimalistic and what else can is prettier than nature itself? Through our wedding we wanted to cherish Mother Earth as we humans have a tendency to forget the beauty of her. We tried to incorporate nature in all out choices, outfits, decor and venues - hence the choice of the Garden of Neemrana's Baradari Palace as our wedding venue with lots of lush green nature and the motifs on our mehndi and wedding outfits and in my mehndi. In addition we also played holi as a part of the wedding festivities - here we used only organic Colors that were produced by Antakranti - an organisation that gives prisoners an extra chance. We also wanted to reconnect to our old roots, which is why most of the pre wed functions were held in our historic ancestral homes/cities which you will see in the photos.
