Aanchal's outfits were truly splendid with the pastel wedding lehenga becoming the perfect choice for a sunset wedding on the beach. Add to that the glamour of a poolside mehendi, the lush outfits of a glittering engagement and the pure joy on everyone's face, it was simply a marvelous affair! Once the families met, we were both sure we wanted a beach wedding . Since Goa and Thailand had become common wedding destinations, we decided to pick Sri Lanka! And after our first visit to Sri Lanka , we were sure that no other place could match up. We were lucky to find a property and our preferred dates and after numerous discussions, we decided on having our ceremony and festivities at Sheraton, Kosgoda , Turtle beach resort, Bentota. We visited over 18 properties all over Sri Lanka before making this final choice, and in retrospect, are so glad of our choice. We, fortunately, got a full buy out, to ensure exclusivity, and started planning our big fat punjabi wedding. Sheraton was a brand new property and we were the first check-ins for the hotel and the hotel made sure that their launch was a grand one. Set on a beautiful secluded beach, the sunrise and sunsets were absolutely stunning. The beach was almost like a private beach, difficult to find in Sri Lanka. The sunrises and sunsets in Sri Lanka served as the most magical and perfect backdrops. We couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque destination.
