This Gorgeous Beach Wedding Had Only 120 Guests & A Bride In Aqua Blue

BY Aakanksha | 12 Nov, 2018 | 6273 views | 4 min read

We absolutely love intimate weddings! And when one happens at such a picturesque destination, how can one not fall in love? Only 120 guests, the beautiful destination, Hua Hin, Thailand, and a bride who totally rocked an offbeat lehenga, this wedding gave us some major feels! The couple had a combined mehendi and haldi and their sangeet was all about dancing their hearts' out! The bride wore really different colours on all her functions, but kept it traditional and simple at her haldi! However, it was the haldi where all the bridesmaids donned identical sarees and gave us some major #bridesmaidoutfitgoals! Radisson Blu, Hua Hin and Sheraton, Hua Hin were perfect backdrops for the wedding where the bride shined in an aqua blue and golden Sabyasachi lehenga and Muse Motion Pictures captured each moment beautifully.

Meet Varsha & Vidur

Varsha talks about her and Vidur's love story, "Vidur and I actually started talking to each other on MSN Messenger because we were trying to set up our friends together. That never worked but both of us starting talking. We’ve been in the same school since nursery and had never noticed each other before, I moved to London for 3 years from class 8-10. Once I moved back to India in class 11 in 2005 it didn’t even take a month for us to start dating, from there on we’ve been together."

From The Bride

Vidur and I both knew we wanted a wedding with only our close family and friends. Our guest list tied in at 120 people. We had friends and family fly in from all over to be with us on our special day. It wasn’t always meant to be a destination wedding but it just worked out, we were first looking at Goa and my mother suggested Thailand, from there on it just kind of all fell into place.

When I started off looking for my clothes I was pretty sure I wanted to wear pink, as I knew I was having a beach side wedding, and I definitely didn’t want a red lehenga as I felt I would never be able to use it again. My wedding lehenga was the first lehenga I fell in love with, but I only bought it 2 months later after looking at all other options and realizing that my heart was set on the mint green.

My wedding lehenga was the 1st lehenga I ever tried, and I felt I should look around and see other things and not be impulsive. I looked around for months in the mean time looking for my other outfits. Finally my best friend spotted my mehendi outfit at Bridal Asia and we bought it immediately, with in the same week I went to Anita Dongre and saw a purple lehenga, my sister and friends said to just try it on as I wasn’t sure about the colour. Of course once I tried it on I fell in love and it was finalised then and there. Then I finally went back to Sabyasachi and ordered the first lehenga I had seen as I realised nothing compared to it for me. Plus Sabya himself told me it brought out my eye colour. My engagement outfit was designed my Nimrit Gill from Malasa.
