Unique City-based Themes & Personalised Favors In This Chennai Wedding

Imagine being transported to 6 different places across the world in a span of 6 days at a wedding celebration! Sounds difficult, but this couple did just that! Roopa and Kewin’s wedding had some unique themed events which we honestly had never heard of! Every element from the decor to return favours was inspired from the details that defined the destinations’ beauty! Pink Parrots helped the couple plan this unique wedding to perfection- take a look for yourselves!
Meet Roopa and Kewin
Like many couples, they had planned their wedding in 2020 but COVID 19 had other plans and they had to postpone. Among many things that the COVID 19 lockdown affected, one main aspect of life that people missed was traveling. People were confined to their homes for months together. So, when people started getting back to the new normal, this couple decided to throw a wedding where each of their celebrations was planned around a destination they have travelled to.
Engagement
The theme of the event was An Evening at Tuscany. The celebrations kicked off with a Tuscan inspired engagement by the beach. The engagement took place at the Sheraton beach resort where the beach view provided a picture-perfect backdrop for the ceremony. An Italian inspired Gazebo with delicate hydrangeas and roses created the perfect romantic ambience where Roopa and Kewin exchanged rings. Long family style tables with floral runners and candles created a warm and joyful dining experience under the stars, an authentic Gelato cart with ice creams was the highlight to end the Italian experience on a sweet note.
Mehendi
The theme of the event was A Mediterranean summer. A weekend in Capri was their vision for the mehendi brunch. The entire décor for the event was conceptualized in Mediterranean colors of white, blue and yellow. White Cabana seating for guests, blue and yellow accents, Positano tile prints and floral arrangements infused with citrus elements added a splash of color to the outdoor brunch. Lemon cookies, entremets, macaroons and a lemonade station added the perfect Mediterranean summer vibes.
Pre-Wedding Dinner
The theme of the event was A Walk along the streets of Thanjavur. The pre-wedding dinner event kicked off by paying homage to the city where the couple hosted the wedding ceremonies. Handcrafted thanjavur dancing dolls were the central element of the theme and were accentuated with other traditional elements like Tanjore paintings, traditional annapakshi brass lamps, green coconut leaf woven pillars, thoranams and traditional florals.
Cocktail
The theme of the event was a Glam Shanghai Night. A classic old town shanghai night setting was the inspiration for the cocktail sangeet. Splashes of red with vintage fans, double happiness symbols, red hanging lanterns, oriental vases created the beautiful vintage charm to the retro night.
Wedding
Post Wedding Lunch
The theme was Luncheon at Bali. The post wedding lunch celebrations was held amidst a coconut plantation which was completely transformed into a whimsical Balinese wonderland. A bamboo-based entry way tunnel leading to an artificially created beautiful water body with floral swans, Balinese umbrellas, giant palm plants, hanging cane lanterns, floral peacocks adorned with orchids were some of the highlights of the décor. Guests were welcomed with fresh tender coconut water and freshly squeezed sugarcane juice which served as a perfect refreshing drink for the afternoon.

My family thoroughly enjoyed every atom of each event. The stories constantly continue. My entire family has been all praises for the team's meticulous and flawlessly perfected work. It says a lot about the Pink Parrots team. I thank them again for making it not just memorable but a pleasant and enjoyable experience. There’s a lot I wish to write, but I’m pretty much getting choked. The marriage was one side of the story, but the bringing of families together in a happy setting is yet another. I can’t but thank the wedding planners for the unstinted labour Vaishnavi, Aakanksha & all the team vested in this. Wholeheartedly I wish all of the team to do well and become the best wedding planners!
