You do know about our little contest that's going to give you VIP access and a personal styling sesh with Tanya Ghavri? The big bridal exhibition for modern brides, The Dhoom Dhaam Wedding Trunk 2016 is here and is curated by none other than celebrity stylist, Tanya Ghavri. So that means two things. One, you get to check out the latest labels in fashion for the next wedding. And two, it's not just for brides, it's for anyone attending a wedding - from your sister to your aunty Pammy. :) Double Dhamaka if you ask us! But before you head over to the Trunk Show that's happening at St.Regis on September 3rd, do check out Tanya's favourite picks from the exhibition here! P.S there are some really cute kurtis and capes that you will die for! Over to Tanya....
1. Varun Bahl's pieces from his vintage garden collection

They are pieces for a reception/after party, perfect for the bride to show off her personal style and toned body. The entire ensemble is made to perfection with great handcrafted ideas - embroideries and more. The white outfit can be worn for some brides as their wedding phera outfit or for an amazing evening wedding - it looks so dreamy. The blue one can be used for a Mehendi or cocktails - pale blue is a beauty of a hue and when combined with florals gives a very romantic vibe!

2. Amrita Thakur's modern bridal pieces
Amrita Thakur
Just let lose and have fun at your wedding with a perfect piece for the modern bride -  it has the right amount of skin-show and elegance. The amazing thing is that Amrita Thakur pieces are so apt for a Mehendi. Pair it with stunning maang tikka and earrings and you'll be the show stealer. In fact, I'd say a three-way traditional maatha patti with your hair let down would be apt for this outfit! The off-shoulder blouse is our favourite!
Price: Amrita Thakur Red Set at Rs. 78,000
3. Monika Nidhii's desi twist for the BFF/ Sister of the bride!
Monika Nidhii 2Monika Nidhii 1
This one's for the BFF and the sister of the bride because it's just simple and elegant, perfect for a day out in the sun. What I loved about it was the very British cut and silhouette that came with a desi twist. Wear it as a soft look with solitaires on your ears and you're set! The cape blouses and the sheer dupattas add a sophisticated touch to the look!
Prices: Monika Nidhii embroidered full length lehenga at Rs. 37,000
The cape and lehenga set at Rs. 40,000

Kurta & pallazzos are perfect for a wedding brunch, it's all about keeping it simple yet making a statement with the amazing embroidery and the silver jewelled additions. It is by far the most comfortable clothing piece a bride can look at. Keep your dancing shoes on. The sari on the other hand with it's old-worldly charm is just perfect for cocktails or even a welcome lunch - it's so traditional yet contemporary!
Price: Red kurti set ar Rs 48,500; Sari at Rs 58,850

If you are a bride who is looking to tune in the sexy then this designer sure knows how to make you look amazing. Wear Nikhil thampi's glam saree at a pre wedding dinner- it's smooth and pre-stitched and fuss-free. Pair it with high heels and some glamorous dance moves and you're a Deepika Padukone clone.

6. Papa Don't Preach's quirky stuff
Papa-Don't-Preach
This one's all for the fun bride who wants to let loose and dance the night away. If you ask me, the best Sangeet outfit you can get in the market. My advice: wear it with soft curls, amazing kadas and a pretty smile. Just have fun at your wedding - that's what this designer's mantra is. A pop of colour and a fun way to wear it - we're sold!
