Kinjal & Raj's pandemic wedding was whimsical with scores of fabulous ideas to take inspiration from. Kinjal wanted her wedding day to be as special as ever and ensured that everything went according to plan. Kinjal, with the support of the amazing team of Two Fat Ladies , envisioned, planned, and executed 8 events - each event reflecting a different style, flavor, and experience for the guests - from a quirky pool party to a traditional pheras! Kinjal had it all. From suffering through the covid infection to coordinating things via video calls, the Two Fat Ladies team went above and beyond to deliver Kinjal & Raj the wedding of their dreams. Being from the fashion industry and Raj being from the food industry we wanted our wedding to reflect our personal aesthetic sense. Originally we had planned our wedding In April but due to the ongoing pandemic we had to postpone the wedding to Nov 2020!
In Oct 2020 we had to change our venue due to restrictions imposed by the Govt. The planning had to begin anew. In spite of the number of guest restrictions, I didn’t want my wedding to feel like a covid wedding. In the middle of this my wedding planner, Namrata from 2 Fat Ladies got Covid and had to be admitted in the hospital. But as they say the show must go on. Through video meetings from the ICU we planned 8 events - each event reflecting a different style, flavour and experience for the guests- from a quirky pool party to Pheras- which were in conformity to all vedic rituals- I had it all. The most surreal moment of the wedding for me was when just before the pheras started all my family members and friends did a ganga aarti Blessing us and wishing us happy married life ahead. Despite all odds, I had the best wedding ever. All you need is to trust the universe and have a great team
