WMG Red Carpet Bride in Vineet Bahl: Saree Soiree

BY The WMG Bride | 16 Feb, 2016 | 2185 views | 2 min read

Mumbai girl Akanksha was our third bride for our red carpet feature at Vineet Bahl, and when she told us she was dying to wear a saree because she wasn't wearing any at her own wedding, we knew just the outfit to give her. This stunning taupe colored net saree  with aqua blue threadwork was delicate and gorgeous with the most beautiful blouse.  It also makes this the debut of ANY saree ever on red carpet bride - we just haven't ever found one that had the amount of drama and elegance that this one had. Perfect for cocktail night, and so versatile across age groups we think. Don't you? 1-unnamed1-unnamed (2)5-DSC_8623 (1) 5-unnamed (8)6-DSC_85631-DSC_8577 From the bride: I was thrilled to be chosen as one of the girls for the shoot, especially because I had only just moved to Delhi a few days before, it was almost destined :) Being a Maharashtrian, marrying a Punjabi,  I knew I wanted to wear a saree for the shoot since I was going to be in lehengas during my wedding. I instantly fell in love with Vineet's work- there was something so delicate and girly about each of his outfits and this saree just spoke to me. It was a full sleeved, corset style blouse with turquoise embroidery all across it, and paisley motifs towards the edges. As far as hair and makeup was concerned, I was given fuschia pink lips and a bold glitter liner to complement the saree with soft, windswept colors. I had a total blast and it was the best experience ever.
