Aisha Rao is a design firm based in Hyderabad. Aisha, the company's founder and creative director, graduated from an Indian National Law School, NUJS, but went on to study design at IED-Barcelona in Spain. She pursued Sewing & Garment Construction at Parsons-New York before launching her own business in 2017. Aisha's main goal was to create one-of-a-kind up-cycled luxury occasion clothing. Her hallmark is mostly based on the appliqu� technique, in which huge designs and bright colours are combined with a tedious overlay of aari, zardozi, and macrame to create an eclectic blend of sensitive and maximalist aesthetics. Aisha's lehengas are a must-have for any Indian bride with millennial tastes but a desire for tradition on her wedding day.

For my sangeet, I had chosen an aqua Nadenka Aisha Rao lehenga that was the lehenga of my dreams. With every possible colour in the rainbow in patchwork, I felt that it embodied the kind of person I am exactly and made me feel like a mermaid princess. It was one of the best days of my life.
