Shreya did our wedding cake and 2nd day cake. Our wedding cake was an ambitious one that Shreya agreed to take on. I was not very delighted with the final outcome as it had an unfinished look to it. When I look back at the charges versus the execution I keep beating myself up for trying to be too innovative and taking a huge risk with my wedding cake. While Shreya's art on the cake was exemplary the overall look just didn't match up to what I imagined as well as with her body of work I've been following. We got mixed reactions on the cake. The light factor was exciting but guests were also confused about how it was covered up. Our 2nd day cake was crafted perfectly as the picture shared and was also very tasty. Please read my review on Chocolat story's Facebook page in response to the explanation below.there is no excuse to cake layers not being covered up,in fact no one will even think that their wedding cake teirs won't have a cover,to even question the cake maker about it.i have not asked for a replica,a cake properly covered up would be the only good submission here.This response makes me regret my decision even more.Seeing Shreya's body of work I blindly believed her after her comforting words that she too didn't want to leave work to the last minute.but it wasn't the case.The real pictures are not close to the one displayed here.Also I have reviewed my ratings as I share the ratings I think are true versus being soft so that others too be cautious especially with their wedding cakes planned almost a year prior.

Hey Chrysel, Thanks for your feedback.. We regret your disappointment ! Like I said while discussing this issue over a telephonic conversation, I wasn’t too happy with the finishing either . However, I’d like to make a small clarification with this regards :) 1. While discussing about the details, it was well mentioned that no design would be copied as it is and there would be some alterations made to the original design. (Design can be 60-70% matching to the reference image ) 2. Delivery was done before the mentioned time but the cake table wasn’t ready to proceed with stacking. (despite informing well in advance) Me along with my team had to wait by the beach for nearly 40 mins to get the table ready (with this, an hour was wasted and we were hardly left with one hour to do the entire setup, considering no delays.) 3. Since it was a beach wedding, we’d asked for an ENCLOSED area to work on the cake because the entire cake had PAPER work on it.. We weren’t provided with that either. Hence It was a becoming very difficult for us to keep the cake intact.. (that’s how the finishing was affected) Helpless, yet I feel we managed to keep the cake intact for quite a long time considering the weather on that day (it was very windy) It was even mentioned that every minute detail would make a huge difference and we would need event coordination for the same ‘cause it was a technology based cake.. we’re not trying to cover up, but I thought of sharing the other side of the story as well.. We’re so glad to know that you liked the cakes and appreciate our work.. happy to help ???? much love ????
