I got married last November in a near flawless wedding ceremony and the credit of arranging it goes to the Kolkata Weddings team. I wanted a simple wedding, but with me living outside Kolkata and a non-Bengali groom, arranging it was challenging for my mother all by herself. I zeroed on Kolkata Weddings after some internet searches and I was not disappointed. From the very beginning, both Arnab Da and Shraboni Di were personally involved to help us in every big and small thing of the wedding. They understood our requirements clearly and made sure that all the arrangements were done that way. With a non-Bengali groom, some of the wedding rituals were different from a Bengali Marriage. KW team went that extra step to understand their rituals and ensured that all the necessary arrangements were done for those as well. Thanks to them, my mother was able to get me wed the way my father and she had always wanted to, and I’ll always be grateful to them for that.

My wedding was perhaps the first weddings arranged by Kolkata Weddings and i have wonderful memories of it. I contacted Ms. Srabani Gupta, the proprietor of Kolkata Weddings at a critical juncture of my son’s wedding preparations this year. A Wedding Planner I had engaged a couple of months earlier turned out to be an inappropriate choice and a series of small mishaps finally forced me to look for another planner. The risk involved in engaging someone new with only a few weeks left for the event was high as I would have to start anew in familiarising the person with all the requirements we had in mind. I decided to take the risk and put my faith in Srabani and her team - I am happy to say that she vindicated that faith and not only lived up to my expectations but surpassed it! In our first meeting, Srabani came across as someone with a professional approach to things, a quiet confidence in her abilities and a warm and pleasant demeanour. She listened carefully to our plans, our emphasis on aesthetic appeal and elegance of the decoration at the various venues, the quality of food and service to be provided on the different occasions and our anxieties about managing the complexities that could arise with a large number of outstation guests expected to be hosted over several days. She gently reassured us that the wedding was now her project and that we did not need to worry about any aspect related to it hereafter. Over the next few days and weeks leading up to the wedding I found Srabani an extremely easy and comfortable person to interact with. She was always accessible...there were several occasions when we called her on her mobile late at night to consult her about something that had suddenly occurred to us. I said earlier that Srabani and her team surpassed my expectations. Her creative flair, attention to detail, uncompromising approach towards quality, ability to negotiate on our behalf with vendors and her composure during stressful times was a revelation. My son’s wedding was a wonderful success...I had wanted it to be memorable for the guests, not only for the elegance and grandeur of the decoration and quality of food but also for the various entertaining events that were included in the Reception. Thanks to Srabani’s creative ideas, it did turn out to be a memorable event and many guests have asked me who my Wedding Planner was. Let me finally also say a few words about her team. Srabani has a team of very committed, creative and hard-working young people. They are energetic, humble and attentive and flawlessly executed all activities related to the wedding - whether it was managing logistics or taking care of last-minute details at the event venues. I wish Srabani and her team all the best in their future endeavours and I am sure they will achieve great success in times to come. Well this is a long pending work from my "to do list". I wont write it as task as this comes from my heart. I got married in Nov 2020 during the very terrifying period of COVID. With lots of ups and downs and crisis when I took the decision of getting married, I thought that this biggest event of my life will be in peace. I am in person not of marriage fan type, so neither I had thought of getting married nor I had many dreams about marriage. But when I took this call, I wanted to make this event classy, cozy and traditional. And to make it as wanted, I reached out to Shraboni di Arnab da through another friend of mine. We met and we discussed. And after the very first meeting they became like my sister and brother. I remember after that when i called Shraboni di , she said "Upasana at any cost we will work on this and get you married 😘". Dats all, many permutations and combinations happened with the wedding date, decoration food and wat not. But they became my family ! But wait, here comes the final time! Covid reached out to my family and got my parents admitted just before 18 days of "the day". When everyone was suggesting to postpone the date, these two wonderful people stood behind us and said "Upasana u take care of ur parents , we will take care of the marriage". I cannot thank them enough for what all they have done to make this biggest event of my life colourful, classy , cozy and traditional. It was in 2018 when I had to plan for my daughter's wedding in Kolkata. At that time I was living abroad and by sheer chance Kolkata Weddings was suggested by someone I knew. On my visit to Kolkata I set up a meeting with Shraboni and Arnab to discuss as to how to go about the wedding. We struck up an instant rapport with them.The biggest challenge was that I had to organize the whole event without the physical meetings that is generally associated with planning for such events. They assured me of a worry free event and they organized it beautifully. What impressed me was that they took care of the small things that matter to guests who came over from all over India and abroad and made their stay during the three days absolutely memorable, so much so that they even took so much care and patience in taking my foreign guests to the stores and selecting dresses for them to wear for the wedding. The wedding was a dream. The venue was outstanding. The decorations marvelous.
