I had booked Khyati for my wedding which unfortunately got cancelled. I cancelled my booking exactly 1 week and 2 days after giving her the advance; a good 1.25 months before the wedding date. I am only disappointed with how unprofessional her dealings are: distributing home made pamphlets with incomplete information, restricting information until later or when asked and providing discrepant information. She had not shared her cancellation policy at the time of booking. When I informed her of cancellation, she first tells me that the advance cannot be refunded. Disappointing, because I was not made aware of any cancellation policy and this came as a surprise. Also, I was cancelling quite in advance and it is not very likely to get a booking in just a week for a day wedding on 23-Nov. I am absolutely sure it wasn't causing her any loss. Additionally, she claimed I can avail services worth the advance amount at a future date. Next comes her pamphlet which reveals that I will have to take services worth the whole booking I made, not just the advance. Her pamphlet said nothing about till when I can avail it. I had enough mind to ask for validity and then she tells me that it is only valid for 6 months (which was conveniently missing in her pamphlet). I requested a work around because I am definitely not getting married in next 6 months, and she refused, stating "conditions are for all bookings and cannot be changed individually". If they are so standard, then why the non-disclosure of clauses? Be vigilant to share it with your clients like a professional beforehand, instead of spewing them off later whenever someone requires/needs that information. Free money for her, I guess. I am unaware of how MUAs design their cancellation policy- and Khyati anyway shared all information quite unprofessionally and in parts. Every other vendor I had booked had some part to refund as per the clauses in their policies. I suppose its a lesson for me to be more vigilant with even minor vendors, instead of slacking off a booking made on whatsapp of all places. Knowing how unreliable whatsapp is, what with updates and loss of data; and also the ability of the users to delete messages, and also because of how fragmented Khyati had supplied information, I asked her to email me the details for future correspondence. Not only has she failed to email me in these 3 days, but she also rudely refused to email when I reminded her again tonight, saying "I have shared info on wtsp and you have read". An advice to you Khyati- your work is great, but bring a little professionalism in your behavior. The same unethical and unprofessional side had been reflected when you provided discrepant information to my friend as well. I had not been asking you for an email out of spite that you had to go ahead and be stupid about it.

Hi Namita Thank you for writing the review. It was unfortunate that the wedding got cancelled and I did not get the opportunity to work for you. You would agree when I tell you were pretty late with the bookings, and your wedding was only a little more than a month later. I do take bookings through calls and whatsap like all other makeup artists and all the information shared is in a professional format which are not "homemade pamphlets" but an alternative to writing texts with charges that can be deleted. You also took a trial which was successful and you went ahead and booked me post that. I would want to believe that all the information provided was very much professional and you did like my work, else I do not understand why you would book me. The cancellation policy is designed in a way to give the clients the opportunity to reschedule Incase of unpreceedented cancellations of their event as well as to protect the artists from opportunities lost due to cancellations. I do offer a full refund till a week and post that you can reschedule the event till the next 6 months as per the availability. This holds uniformly for all my clients and you cannot demand to change that as per your need. You were impolite then and also rude now to feel there would not have been other queries for your dates. Infact, I did get queries through wedmegood and did not entertain them as you asked me not to take any other bookings from wmg for your dates and I obliged. If you can reach out to me and book me over whatsap then transact through that, why is sharing the cancellation policy over whatsap unprofessional? you told me about the cancellation on wtsap and I replied with the cancellation policy their. You still have time to re-book this and I do wish and look forward to dolling you up on your big day with the look you wanted! :) Thank you for appreciating my work and I wish you the best.
