Nivriti made me look like a queen on my D-day. She is a true artist. She created a minimal look with pretty braid for mehendi, very natural nude look for my wedding, a glam look for my reception. I had a bridal consultation with her where we had discussed my looks and she gave me great styling tips. She has good knowledge of fashion and jewelry as well. She is just not a makeup artist who comes to the venue, does her job and leaves. Nivriti- worst makeup artist in Bangalore according to me My experience: I opted for Nivriti for 3 days. Day1: Mehndi – makeup was ok-ish. I wanted a no makeup, dewy look, which was not achieved. I looked like a jaundice patient - yellow and had a matt finish. I opted for a messy side braid, mind the word ‘’MESSY’’ but all I got was a flat look in the front with two strands of hair dangling on the side - which her so-called hairstylist calls messy. Draping was good because thankfully someone else was doing it. (other than these 2) Day 2: Reception – The most anticipated and awaited day of my life ready to be draped in gorgeous sarees and amazing jewellery. Especially this day, the draping was super bad and looked unclean. I wanted a ‘’high’’ knot messy bun with lots of wavy and messy hair. But again, the artist lived up to my expectation by giving me aunty look and some stupid 90’s kind of bun. My hair fell flat again, and I looked as ugly as a bride can look. The best days of my life gone to dogs. I just wanted to wash my face and tear my bun apart and walk the aisle, head high with my dark circles and long hair. 150+ guests wondered what had gone wrong with my eyes because Nivriti made me look like a Chinese and gave me the worst eye makeup. The best day turned out to be the worst day of my life. Day 3: Wedding – I opted for a wavy messy different kind of braid, and uffff again I got a flat look in the front. I particularly wanted raised vertical lines in the front because that is how I look gorgeous. It was her responsibility to ensure that the hair stays in place for the whole event. After an hour of makeup (before the ceremony even begun), my hair was flat again. The braids on day 1 and day 3 were the same except that on day 1 it was onside and on day 3 it was at the back. Actually, I realized it when untying my hair at the end of the day. It’s so funny how these makeup and hair stylists are so innovative. Non-sense. Nivriti is highly unprofessional and doesn’t listen to the bride’s needs. She does what she wants and doesn’t give a damn. They say ’YES’’ to everything you say in the beginning and you know what happens at the end - tears Short story – One my friend and I opted for Nivriti for our big day. (She ended up crying on the wedding day because of the bad makeup; that’s a different story). Nivriti spoke to my friend about my mother and me which is very unprofessional according to me. Her words ‘’ It is easy to satisfy Anusha(me) but it is impossible to satisfy her mother with any hairstyle. She didn’t like anything I showed’’. What do you call this? After 2 weeks, when Nivriti came to my house for my makeup, she was acted surprised when she heard my friends name and gave me a different story as to why my friend cried. Funny behaviour isn’t it? To all the Brides-to-be, you are beautiful the way you are. Only you know what looks good on you. Only you know what hairstyle suits you. Try to avoid makeup on your big day and end up looking different. Just be natural because these makeup artists ruin your biggest day. This experience is the biggest eye-opener for me. I will get makeup done ever again in my life.

She listened to my likes and dislikes intently, made notes and understood what I wanted, and wasn't dismissive about anything I said. I absolutely loved the way Nivriti made me look for both my functions - the gown look for the nuptial was muted and dewy and the evening look for the reception was glam and vibrant. She was on time and I really liked her whole setup process. This helped us save a lot of time. The products used were high-end luxe brands and Nivriti was very particular about hygiene as well. The only gripe I had was with the way her assistant draped my saree. I had some trouble with it during the function. But that could be due to lack of time. All in all, I’m glad I chose Nivriti to glam me up!
