We had our worst nightmare for our wedding events with Purple Planet Events (Vachan) who had promised us both full wedding planning, coordination and decor. That being said the main person in charge of our event - Pooja Pokharna was nowhere to be found either days, even after we specifically requested her to be present for coordination and to look after her team because they had no idea what they were doing. The bride even called again the day of the wedding whilst getting her makeup done and requested Pooja to redeem herself and get the event under control, she promised then she'd come but still didn't turn up. The decor we had agreed on was nowhere to be seen for all events. Every event had significant delays because the decor was not completed in time, despite us stressing the fact that we need to strictly adhere to the schedule. She had another event on the same day and so her attention was extremely divided and quite frankly non existent for us. For our main event- the wedding, we had requested clear acrylic mandap, she used dirty pillars full of dust and marks. She even switched the sangeet carpet for the wedding day and so we were left with black and white carpet instead of plain white carpet inside the mandap (in Hindu culture black is inauspicious for weddings). The stage was supposed to be much larger, with side stairs (again both non-existent). The aisle wasn't made properly that people kept tripping on this and the wedding chairs were of poor quality that people fell from these too. We resent looking at our wedding photos because of all these traumas we experienced. Most of our events didn’t have enough sitting for all the guests even after we repeatedly made this point to her well in advance of the wedding - in the end our family and hotel management had to arrange for extra chairs. Just an extremely stressful experience, which meant we couldn't enjoy our own events freely. We had at least 2 easel boards with spelling mistakes, even one where the brides name was spelt wrong. When we confronted her after the events instead of apologizing she and Shalin Mehta only had excuses for everything and even one of these excuses was that the hotel was too far (which they being from Udaipur knew about well in advance). They however could make the time and effort in being punctual when collecting their money but not be present for any of the coordination, planning and decor of the events. I am writing this review so no one else has to go through the same disappointment on their once in a lifetime occasion (their dream wedding). PPE are just lazy and incapable of handling large events like weddings.

I interviewed 4 wedding coordinators and when I first spoke with PP, I knew she was the one for us. This is more than a business for them, puja & shalin has a passion for planning the perfect event that will make your dreams come alive. They are very resourceful and has great working relationships with many of the local vendors. PP worked with me for over a period of 3 months on planning every detail of my sisters wedding, while being conscience of our budget. My sisters wedding was EXCELLENT!
