Shades by 43

We got married in Feb '23 & found Shades by 43 online. Although their website and reviews were impressive, our initial contact was off. The response was curt, and they claimed to have emailed a quote, when they hadn’t. Despite this, due to their glowing ratings, we chose one of their highest-tier packages, expecting the personal touch promised. Pre-wedding shoot went well, and the wedding day team was professional and warm. Unfortunately, the post-production is where things went downhill. There were numerous errors in our Save the Date cards—spelling mistakes and poor fonts—giving the service an impersonal, mass-produced feel. The photos and album arrived on time, within months, but the video editing was subpar. No drone shots were included at first. Later I had to buy Adobe Premiere Pro myself and spend hours creating a decent highlight video from their clips. Additionally, the larger videos had an outdated style—reminding me of my parents' wedding videos, like opening screen with black floral background opening. The groom’s dark blue shirt appeared black in all the reception photos (Iphone photos showed the correct colour), and despite pointing this out, nothing was corrected. Not a single song we suggested was used in our wedding video. The groom’s speech wasn’t captured properly. While the photographers were pleasant, the subpar post-production process ruined the whole experience. We gave glowing reviews to all our other vendors—event management, caterers, and venue—but this one was a major disappointment.

Without a doubt, the best in town! You won't realise how brilliant the team is until you hold the finished product in your hands; it's an artwork! It is completely and completely worth every penny! The team that came to my sister's wedding was so sweet, easygoing, and understanding! And, of course, a great deal of fun! Thank you so much, Shades by 43, for capturing every moment so beautifullyyy.

BEWARE!!!! For anyone shortlisting them as a wedding photography team, if you are an NRI, foreigner or non-Malayalee *PLEASE STAY AWAY*, you will thank me later. For all the Malayalees who are planning to work with Mr. Ajay, note that he will be there till he takes your money, after that it's on you to follow up, create deadlines, and force deliverables. So if you have the time, the money and are ready to gamble on the most important day of your life then please go ahead. We got married on 22/12/22, me and my spouse are still struggling till today to get our wedding deliverables, after hounding them for 4 months from May we got our album in August, and we have yet to receive the videos. They have come up with all excuses imaginable from personnel problems, sick, admitted in the hospital to rains, floods, natural calamities and power surges. This has been a huge regret for us, and the irony is it does not bother them, they have already taken 95% of the money leaving no incentive to adhere to the quotation. To everyone looking to hire a photography team, do not make our mistakes, and do not fall for a few "pretty pictures". Do a little more background research and hire a credible company.

As a brother I always wanted a dream wedding for my sister. And I can't imagine another team other than Shades by 43 to capture all the beautiful memories. And you guy's made my expectations into reality. Kudos to the entire team.

Absolutely loved the wedding photos! We were assigned with an amazing group and it felt very easy to work with them all. The team really captured our emotions and we could not have asked for anything more. A big thanks to Shades by 43!

Great pictures, sub-par service. Even was 2 months ago, still waiting for the albums. Now I've left the country and have to spend extra to ship the album (when they eventually print it) to ship it. Will recommend their team for taking pictures (Ajay is a great photographer and the team was very easy to work with), but my advice is that it's better to find your own printing studio.

I am short of words to describe Ajay and his wonderfully talented team. You'll feel like they're your friends and you've always known them. Their passion for photography is unmatched, They're so hardworking and will go to every length to get the perfect shot. Ajay kept me cool and calm throughout the day.
