Shamita was my incredible makeup artist and Tina was my lovely hair stylist for my 3-day Parsi/Hindu wedding, which included a total of 5 events (Welcome Dinner, Parsi Wedding, Sangeet, Hindu Wedding and Reception). As a bride, it's inevitable that you will feel a certain level of stress before and during the wedding period, but when I sat in that makeup chair, I felt every ounce of tension melt away as I let Shamita work her magic - no stress, no pressure...just endless laughs and lots of water (they both made sure that I stayed well-hydrated!) I didn't have a planned 'look' for any of my events, so I trusted Shamita and Tina completely and asked them to do whatever they felt worked best with each outfit. The result: I've never felt so gorgeous in my life! Each time I walked out the door, I (not so secretly) felt like a princess - which is what every bride wants to feel during her wedding. Shamita's level of professionalism, empathy and attention to detail made each event so much easier, because it was one less thing for the bride to worry about. Even after late-night partying (and minimal sleep), she made me look like I'd been well-rested and dewy the next morning. Tina's ever-smiling face, calm attitude and relentless attempts to tame all my silly stray hair (which she handled perfectly) resulted in beautifully creative, unique looks for each event. It’s hard to find a make up artist who completely understands your sensibilities and doesn’t force you to do traditional stuff just because you are the bride. Shamita was nothing short of amazing in this respect in addition to her make up skills. Shamita was a savior because she agreed to work on me just a month before my wedding. This was because my original artist cancelled on me. She was not only very responsive to a hell nervous bride to-be, who knew jack about make-up, but was also very comforting. She invited me for a trial and reassured me of things falling into place. Shamita and Sunita (hair) worked on me for a pre-wedding party and for the wedding. I loved the way I looked on both days. All guests took notice of my make-up and asked for the artist's contact. We did a trial first and decided on the look, Shamita is a very pleasing person, you would love her, she told me one thing "leave that on me" and I glad I trusted her! Shamita is a beautiful person inside and out. She did my makeup for the wedding and reception, and everybody loveddddd it. Somewhere what makes Shamita a great make up artist is the fact that she's a wonderful person. Not only can she weave magic with her brushes, but also she will never treat her work like an ordinary job or a check list. There were so many instances where she and Darshana (hairstylist) went the extra mile to ensure I got nothing but the best on my special day. A very rare find. I really like Shamita as a person. A makeup artist not only should be good at the work but also understanding, patient and at times strict (really needed on the D-day). Shamita understood my situation perfectly and was always very adjusting to my needs: be it a last minute dropping of makeup for my mother or being punctual on an early morning wedding or dealing with the confusion & delay created by the venue people regarding the changing room. She knows how to handle stressful situations well without compromising on the bride's needs. Another very important aspect is that she is not greedy about money at all, which is a rare quality today in a city like Mumbai. Most people in the wedding industry are extremely money-minded and usually compromise the quality but this is not her case. Shamita is a magician when it comes to makeup and I closed my eyes and just let the magic unfold. Same goes to Tina for her creative Hairdressing abilities. I loved their transitions from a traditional South Indian bride look for the Wedding to a more formal look for the Reception to a more vibrant look for the Sangeet. Special shout out to her team of artists Nicole and Sunita who did their magic on my Relatives. Shamita and Tina did a phenomenal job on each of my bridal looks. What makes them special is they are not only the best at what they do but they are also amazing human beings. You meet very few people in your life that feel like family within just two days of knowing each other. Shamita and Tina did my make-up and hair for all 3 events- Sangeet, Wedding and Reception. As someone who lives abroad, I was a little skeptical of hiring someone without getting to meet them, but Shamita was very patient with my questions - in fact she is very responsive via email, which goes a long way to smoothen communication in such a situation! She met me for a trial session at her house a week before the events, which was very helpful in terms of discussing ideas and my likes/dislikes. Coming to the actual events, the best way I can describe them is they're thorough professionals who care to go the extra mile. They were both very calm, and extremely efficient in terms of working simultaneously when possible throughout, and listened to all my suggestions. In fact I was confused about a hair-do for a couple of the events, and Tina was sweet enough to try a couple of things with me till I picked one. My hair is also very curly, so kudos to her on being so quick with straightening it out! I think what I loved best was the fact that they made me look naturally lovely- there was a glow to my skin, without looking cakey or overdone. The eye make-up, even the smokey-eye at the reception, and hairdos were very apt with the outfit, versatile and elegant, nothing overly complicated or over-the-top, but not too subtle either. They even had suggestions in terms of the accessories and overall look. I genuinely think they surpassed my expectations. Given the crazy hours and stress that build up in a wedding ambience, having someone who gets what you want is key for a happy/relaxed bride- and Shamita and Tina will not fail to get you out smiling!

From super traditional to modern contemporary, or just a perfect blend, she can do it all. She makes herself available to do trials before the event and discuss various ideas. Having Shamita working on me for my wedding look was one of the best choices I made. My skin colour generally makes me look caked up with make up. Shamita was my only choice for my wedding make-up and I must say, Shamita and Tina did a splendid Job. She kept my looks very natural yet versatile for all three functions. Her sense of colors, details and finishing is outstanding. I love the fact that she doesn't change your true skin tone, something that i was sure i didn't wish to change either. What I love the most about her is her calmness. She has a very soothing aura that calms and helps you de-stress on your wedding day. Shamita makeup work is good but have Expected a way more than that cause I had hired her for makeup n hair Services .I think the makeup was bit Rushed as there were note people .neverthless good work but can do much better.

<p>I had a wonderful experience with Shamita. She offers a trial which I highly recommend doing to agree your looks beforehand. During the trial she was patient and showed me different options for my different events. She also discussed hairstyles for me and supervised the final outcome when Tina was working on them. As an NRI South Indian bride marrying a Canadian man, I wanted to look elegant in my Kanjeevaram sarees without looking too mature and boring. My final wedding look was contemporary with gorgeous makeup and a unique hairdo that was part-modern in the front and traditional at the back with loads of flowers! My reception look was an ultra-glam smokey eye with Marilyn Monroe hair to offset my bridal red lehenga. Props to Tina as well ? she is skilled at hair styling and my wedding hairdo despite being heavy and covered with flowers stayed intact for hours. She is punctual and easy to talk to and accommodated my needs and my mothers' with patience and politeness. Bottomline: Hire her and be adventurous with your look because she can make it happen!</p>

<p>Shamita and Tina (the accompanying hairstylist) were hardworking, efficient and reliable. They were great to have around during those stressful pre-event moments and it was fun to get ready with them. I was really pleased with the outcome.
