I was liaising with one of the founders, Parvati for my wedding invites. While my wedding is in June, I started the process in October with the intention of collecting our cards in January as we were traveling to Chennai for wedding shopping. While our initial exchanges were good, things turned sour nearer to the deadline in January. I had made several colour changes as the sample cards provided were darker than expected (I had requested for pastel colours). As such, I decided to make the card white two weeks before the collection date. In return, she did not respond to any of texts and ignored them because I made “multiple colour changes”. She also made changes to the design which I did not request for and said I had requested for them. They do charge a fee for designing if we were to use our own design so I’m perplexed as to why it is an issue to change colours. Tiny errors such as missing leaves in a tree (which left a gap) had to be pointed out. I believe little nits such as this should have been picked out by the designer before the draft is sent to the customer. On the collection day, we ran a little late. They close at 6pm and we arrived at 630pm. She left our cards with the security card. The cards were protected with just paper. There was no box (which would have been a better choice, I feel). Upon checking the cards, there were at least 30 cards with defects (foil printing was smudged and there were holes in some area which meant that the foil did not stick properly). When I communicated this to her, she requested for pictures of all the cards in order to replace them. I was leaving Chennai the next day so she said if she were to replace them, she needed pictures of the cards by 1230pm the same day. I had to rush back to the hotel and spent 2 hours with my family sifting through 300 cards and sending her pictures of all the cards with defects. This was unpleasant as we couldn’t even have our lunch due to the time crunch. I do appreciate that the replacement cards were sent to the hotel that evening and they looked way better than the initial batch. Honestly, the initial batch looked like a rushed job. While most of the cards turned out beautiful, the above experiences (both communication and collection of the cards)made me regret choosing this company to do my cards. I guess, you get what you pay for.
