Meenakshi covered our Irish wedding and did an absolutely fantastic job! I got so many compliments from my family and friends on how wonderful the photographs were, many saying they were the best wedding photos they've seen. My husband and I live in New York and had a December 2020 wedding planned in New Delhi. Needless to say, nobody’s plan for 2020 turned out the way they had imagined, so we did a tiny ceremony in Central Park to register the wedding, with the plan of a Delhi reception and wedding function whenever you could travel. Once our plan for a December 2021 function was concretized, I started looking at photographers to capture our special day and that’s when I spoke with Meenakshi for the first time. She took at least 40-50 mts out of her night and my morning to do a video call with me and discuss the arrangements in detail and from that call onwards, we were convinced that she’s the one we want for our ceremony! Talking to her was almost like talking to someone I’ve known for years (don’t know how she manages that, but all of our guests said the same thing!). Weddings are beautiful but the planning is almost stressful. We were lucky to have stumbled upon We Do Moments. We were instantly impressed by looking at her work. My husband and I had never met Meenakshi, but my father in law met and saw her work at a family wedding and he convinced us to get her on board for ours. Honestly and obviously, I was a little skeptical about the whole thing, but the moment we got in touch with her, she made us feel so comfortable! The thing about weddings is that for the most important people (bride, groom, parents), it's an absolute blur. It's months and months of planning every minute detail for those 2 days to be absolutely perfect and when the day arrives, it's over in a blur. What stays with you forever and ever and what you cherish are the photos. They are super important and what you really hold on to, show to your friends, family, frame and display in the house. Now that it's established how extremely important photos are at a wedding, I have to say that nobody can do a better job at handling this most important task than Meenakshi. She's THE BEST decision I made about my wedding. Not only are the photos fantastic, she's also a wonderful person. She's so cute and warm and just an amazing ball of energy. My wedding was early in the morning and sangeet the night before was till really late. She must have barely gotten 3-4 hours of sleep and she was there, perfectly on time, carrying her heavy equipment all by herself, with a big smile on her face. She puts you at ease and the best thing is that at no point did I feel like there was an intrusive presence. Often at weddings nowadays, thr omnipresent horde of photographers tend to take over the wedding and the guests are just left standing there staring at the backs of the photographers instead of the wedding ceremonies. With Meenakshi you don't have to worry about that. She expertly maneuvers herself through the entire prcoess, both physically and emotionally, and delivers great product exactly as per the timelines promised. My husband hates getting photos taken but that didn't stop Meenakshi from taking great photos of us. I was planning my wedding from Boston, due to packed schedules I was not able to meet Meenakshi in person before the shoot. There are two things which lasts longest post your marriage, one is your spouse and other one are the memories when you both took the vow. When Vipra & i, decided about the marriage, the one thing which we were very particular was the quality photo artist. We never wanted to go for the Video but wanted the pictures to speak thousand words and good enough to take us back to the memory lane whenever we look at them. Most of the conversations I had with Meenakshi were over the phone or through WhatsApp but I trusted her talent and her way with people. Meenakshi was with me throughout all the events and was always calm and composed, although she probably had so many things going on in her head, which calmed me down a great deal. She kept an eye out for all our closest friends and family members and made sure that everyone was included. There's a personal touch to all her photos and she makes sure she captures the moment rather than just making sure she has a picture of everyone who attended the wedding. Of course the whole family was smitten with her, she is such a positive force to be around. It is close to 3 months since our wedding and we still cannot stop smiling and tearing up looking at the photos from our big day. Meenakshi is a champ. For a desi-phirang wedding, without a wedding planner, the usual madness ensued. The one thing we never had to worry was re the photography. For a wedding spanning 3 days, with events, multiple ceremonies from 5:00 am through midnight, she didn’t miss a beat. As the only photographer, I had my worries about her covering all our functions, but it was unfounded as her work ethic is incredible. And finally coming to her end output, we were simply spellbound as she captured the warmth and energy of my sisters wedding in totatility. It has been almost 8 months since Surbhi and I had our pre-wedding photoshoot done by Meenakshi (The We Do Moments), and, we still keep looking at those pics - that time was special for us, and, Meenakshi captured it so beautifully. Since our marriage, our gifts to each other for birthdays, valentine's have always included a bit of those moments from the pre-wedding photoshoot. From our experience of the photoshoot, there are few things that we wanted to highlight: - We always feel that it would be better to have an elaborate setup and a team to capture the pre-wedding moments. That was the dilemma that we also had; however, with Meenakshi we realised that it was probably the best decision to go with a solo photographer. Although pre-wedding photoshoot includes getting decked-up, it's the natural chemistry that makes a photo light up. I believe that with Meenakshi working alone, it created the right atmosphere: she had an independent and open perspective, and, her friendly nature helped both of us open up. - I have often heard from couples that photoshoots are a routine and they are boring. However, both Surbhi and I had such great fun over 2 days that we would actually want to relive those moments. We just loved it, and, that's all because of Meenakshi making us so comfortable. I think the excitement, fun, love, happiness, positivity and the energy reflected in the photos as well. - What we loved about Meenakshi (The We Do Moments) was that she got involved from the very beginning: finalization of places for the shoot, dresses for the different looks. She was super flexible - in case, a particular location would not work out due to crowd or other reasons, she would herself suggest an alternate location. There is a beautiful quote by Dorothea Lange that reads, "Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still"*. This quote is always reason enough for me to immortalize my special moments and occasions by capturing tons of pics...to go back to as and when, and relive the happiness all over again! And it wasn't any different when it came to our parents' GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY. It had to be special and it had to be memorable! A few brainstorming sessions with the siblings, and we decided upon a 'havan' to seek divine blessings and a cosy luncheon with a handful of friends to share our joy with. A true artist and a professional mixed in with a great friend. Meenakshi is simply one of the best. I have been procrastinating writing this review for so long since I am sure my words will do little justice to the wonderful experience we had while working with her, but let's begin anyway. What initially captured me to her work was her ability to capture those intricate and small, but very important moments that make this big and chaotic event so beautiful. She has appropriately named her enterprise 'The We Do Moments'. From establishing initial contact to the final printing of the album, this part of our wedding was the easiest ;). She was quick and professional in her response and was super helpful with her suggestions. Meenakshi was patient and took time and effort to understand our ideas and wonderfully captured more than what we were expecting. She brings a wonderful sense of enthusiasm and energy that turned the most shy amongst us into natural posers. Her work and dedication to the craft is reflected in each and every shot. Before any details, Meenakshi is absolutely brilliant and an amazing artist. While searching for a pre-wedding photo artist I came across her portfolio and really like her work. We arranged a meet and I was so taken back coz it was really smooth talking to her. I felt so at ease that we did not meet any other photographers. As she was not available immediately I went on a trip with my sister to Sula. And Punit surprised me then with a proposal which was captured by Meenakshi. They planned the whole thing together! And we had the best 2 days shooting in Sula. And the pictures were insanely beautiful. She was not only patient but understood us so well in what we wanted. Finding the perfect photographer for your wedding is so crucial and nerve wrecking. After going through more than 30 photographers, we narrowed down on Meenakshi a.k.a. "We Do Moments" and it was the best decision we could have made. She is superbly talented, creative, patient, punctual and goes beyond her way to capture the perfect emotions and pictures. She has the ability to make everyone (from the bride and groom to ALL the wedding guests) feel so comfortable and at ease. Well to begin with when you are on chat mangni pat byaah path all you need is quick fix for every aspect of the wedding. So, when our hunt for photographer began we came across We Do Moments profile and it was my sister who spotted her and liked her pictures a lot. Moreover icing on the cake was after approaching meenakshi, her prompt response was overwhelming. We fixed our candid and traditional shoot with Meenakshi and her team for my mehendi, sangeet, wedding and reception. 2-3 yrs ago, while searching a photographer for my bestie's wedding I came across one pre wedding shoot done by Meenakshi at Dome, Mumbai & I fell in love wid d pics. The We DO Moments covered our wedding Sangeet and 2 styles of wedding - Marathi and Bengali. Since the time we contacted Meenakshi, she has been a pleasure to work with, Her responses are quick and detailed (sprinkled with enthusiasm). After talking to few photographers we felt the most comfortable with Meenakshi. As we were based in Chicago and wedding was in Nagpur, we were worried about logistics but Meenakshi made everything so easy on us. She even walked the extra mile and agreed to do pre-wedding shoot in Nagpur before the wedding. As a photographer she is super talented and has an eye to capture the lil smiles, intimate eye contacts and meaningful stares. Meenakshi is able to capture moments that no one else does because she makes the effort to get to know the couple personally and understand their equation. The part I love the most is that The We Do Moments is zero maintenance. Meenakshi finds her way around the venue and people on her own. She makes friends and makes things happen. Getting Meenakshi to capture our Sangeet and Wedding was the best decision we?ve made. Little did we know that asking Meenakshi to shoot our wedding would be one of the best decisions we made! Background: Both Groom and Bride are camera shy (more like, dislike the camera) and they lose their smiles when they see a camera. But with Meenakshi, it didn't seem to matter. It was just like smiling at a friend! She just involves herself with all family members and really, you don't see her as a photographer, just family. I couldn't have gotten a better photographer for my wedding!! She has been there for me, starting from our pre wedding to my haldi to mehendi and finally to the wedding. This review is coming a bit late, and for a single reason. I wanted to write in detail about the entire process, from planning our shoot to when we received our final album. Where do I begin? My mind was blank when I started researching for a photographer for my wedding. I searched for a few photographers online, and over the phone, but couldn?t get with anyone in particular. And then, I clicked with Meenakshi from The ?We Do? Moments. On speaking with Meenakshi over the phone, I didn?t feel like we were talking for the first time. She?s a truly sweet and honest person with a huge heart and her work ethic displays it prominently. I was scared deep inside thinking about how I would look and how the pictures will come out. Meenakshi?s positive approach and friendly behavior assured me that everything will turn out to be fine. She was instrumental in helping me find a team of cinematographers and took a lot of pains to do so. Me and my husband met Meenakshi on the day of our pre-wedding shoot. The weather that day was not conducive for our shoot, but Meenakshi managed to capture our amazing moments perfectly. We even got our pre-wedding photos before our marriage which was in 3 days! We don?t like being in front of a camera, but this time was different. We couldn?t stop looking at our pictures because they came out so good. During the 2 days of our wedding, despite so many functions and a pretty hectic schedule, Meenakshi and Kishore captured every event beautifully. We loved the way both of them interacted with us and our guests to make us feel so comfortable and at ease, throughout the wedding. I was just amazed by the pictures and the perfectly captured moments. Every picture represents a slice of our life, showcasing the love of our family, friends and relatives. Deciding between the unbelievable number of final pictures for our album, was painstaking but fun. Kudos to Meenakshi for being patient with us during the entire time. I read about Meenakshi on Canvera and wedmegood. The moment I saw one of her shoot (Pooja and Kapil), made me call her all over from the U.S and I definitely wanted her only to shoot my pre-wedding photos. We discussed about a few locations and some creative ideas to make the shoot perfect. Finally the shoot happened and the photos were just superb. We never realised the way time went on that day. Each and every click was just too good. We had decided Christian wedding as one of our themes and believe me those were the best pics ever. I would say each and every photo had its own special memory. We also had some funny and notorious moments on the day of the shoot and she clicked some pics during them which were damn good. Me and my wife got loads and loads of compliments from all of our family and friends once we posted the photo album. I would like to thank Meenakshi for making the day as special and as memorable as it could have been. Honestly, it was my best decision ever to be clicked by her. I saw her work at my best friend's wedding and I really had no words. Those were the best wedding photographs I had seen till date. The pictures had life in them. My sister was to get married to her childhood friend, for us it was much more than just two families coming together. It was like a celebration for all those families who had known my sister and my brother in law. Since both had a busy schedule and we had no time for a pre wedding shoot or anything like that, we had to bank heavily on the Wedding photography for getting the right clicks. I came across Meenakshi's page on Facebook and it was kind of love at first sight. I had gone through a list of vendors that my sister's friend had provided but there was something about Meenakshi's page that intrigued me. What was really striking about her clicks was that every picture was more than just a click and had a story behind it. I immediately wrote to her and was pleasantly surprised as she was really prompt (and that matters a lot). She showed immediate interest which made me feel even better. So, I was hell bent on getting Meenakshi onboard and I am glad we did that. Her spirit is infectious, Kishore and her both were so professional yet so amicable. Everyone...right from family to friends got along really well with both of them and we had a blast during the three days. We were having so much fun, that we did not realise that we were 'working' with her team. Throughout the event they were very punctual, cooperative, patient and cognizant. The passion with which they executed the entire task was evident. Needless to say the outcome was 'Perfect Memories' that will stay with us forever. Each picture captures emotions extremely well and makes you re-live the moments over and over again. Meenakshi and her team exceeded our expectations and we would definitely recommend her to EVERYONE!! And thank you so much Meenakshi for making the wedding much more than 'memorable'. While researching for the photographer for my big day, I came across "We Do Moments" and gave Meenakshi a call. The moment I spoke to her, I knew she was the one. The best thing about Meenakshi is her sheer love and passion towards her work. I wish I could rate her 6, she is such an amazing person. I got to know Meenakshi while looking for photographers for our candid pre-wedding shoot. I spoke to approx 15 photographers and Meenakshi was the obvious choice. While other photographers spoke about money and their hourly rates, and the exact time they will spend on the shoot, Meenakshi seemed to be the only genuine person who tried to understand our idea behind the pre wedding shoot and what it means for us. She truly went out of her way from the day we decided to do this till the final photos were out. It was truly truly an amazing experience and she made us extremely comfortable as we are a bit camera shy couple. There were times when we were late for the shoot or having a bad day but she accommodated all our requests without any fuss. I always tell her that she charges quite less for the kind of service she offers, but the true professional in her and the nicest human being never lets her understand the true worth. ;) Its been around a year since we did this and I am extremely glad to have an amazing friend in her. All I must say that her work is fabulous (I do not think I have ever seen any photographer come close to her work), her approach is empathetic (she will become a part of your family while doing this), her conduct is perfect (she will at times be more concerned about your shoot and outcomes more than you) and would highly recommend her. I am sure she is a photographer to look out for in future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We really thank you a lot Meenakshi and your work means the world to us. Our parents believed in traditional photography and did not quite agree with the concept of a candid photographer.We really had to convince them for candid photography. After a lot of convincing and research, we found Meenakshi from We do moments. Her team, Kishore and others also did an amazing job :) We met her before the wedding and discussed what we wanted.. found a friend in her and the way she gelled with our friends and family.. We forgot she was clicking pics.. We just enjoyed the whole celebration with her making it even more memorable and precious :) She has a knack for bringing pictures to LIFE and capture emotions so beautifully!
