Vedam is pretty much a one-stop shop for anyone who needs to buy bridal clothes quickly. Over the years, I have bought and recommended this store to multiple people who need to find bridal/wedding clothes quickly. My issue with this store is not the designs and collection as much as it is with their process and customer service. They do not seem to pay attention to anyone who has a budget of anything less than 50000 INR. My experience was such that I had a lower budget for lehenga, and we were being shown very substandard lehengas at first until we upped our budget to a much higher range, Followed by which they started bringing us clothes in my original budget. About 15 minutes into the viewing, another customer came with a very high budget and we were shoved to a corner where there was barely any space to even walk around, and suddenly all the sales reps were gone. Sure I did not have a budget of 2 lakhs but it was not that less to be treated by third-class citizens. Having found what I wanted, I paid for my clothes and sent them for alterations. On the day of the pickup, delivery to the store was not completed, the day after no update either. I called the store and they responded extremely rudely that they have no idea about the clothes as it is not their responsibility. When asked for some accountability, they stated that I should not question their process and hung up the call stating that they couldn't help further. Further, when I wanted some additional updates, I was quoted a price of 1500 in store and suddenly a day later price increased to 2500. The whole set of Vedam team is extremely unprofessional and rude, they lack accountability, and customer service abilities. They are quick to take the money but lack basic integrity. For someone who works with 100s of customers in a large Fortune 500 company, if I pulled a stunt like that at my job, I would have been fired. But who holds these merchants accountable? My observations and reviews were written after a lot of thought and consideration. Please do bear in mind and be very aware of this store.

They are a cheat. From the the owner to the staff everyone is rude and unprofessional and do not know how to speak to customer and are disrespectful towards them. Disappointing service. They set a clear example of Beg, Borrow and Steal. I had bought a gown for my Sangeet event. They refused to even alter it on my first trial and then they sent a burnt gown. Now when asked to rectify the damage they are again in denial and being disrespectful .

Everybody knows about Sabyasachi! But visiting the store is a lifetime experience. Behaviour of the employees, ambience and collection just tooooooo good ❤️

I can't even believe they took blouse pieces from our Sarees, when they showed saree it was there, but when we went to the designer to make blouses it was gone, shame on them, never ever want to go Vedam.

The most unreliable place i have ever been. They promised me something else and delivered something else. Their service is till you finalise the order and give advance and later at delivery they will give you only what you have signed for rest verbal talks are absolutely of no value. When i asked them to check cctv footage and deliver me what i denied then they denied that too. Their employee lied everything on my face and was super super rude at the time of delivery. And their owner too doesn’t care what the customer is saying and if the mistake is from the employee side or not, he only need his money and nothing else. At the time of purchasing they keep asking for food, water, tea all the time and at the time of delivery their attitude is paise do jo saman bana hai wo lo aur jao. Spoiled my wedding as well as sangeet dress.

Beware of these fraudsters and their sales person are expert in duping the hard earned money of the innocent customers..... Money comes secondary but the ethnicity is important ...... Got few of my wedding outfits from here and I loved it. Some of my outfits were customised and they fit me perfectly. They have a very good collection to choose from and apart from this their management is super friendly. Highly recommended to others.

An excellent place to shop every type of latest designs in clothes. Particularly lehangas, and sarees are in such a great variety that you don't have to go anywhere. Staff is also very cooperative.

I just loved my lehenga, work colour both was so beautiful and elegant. 1st day I walked into the store and decided I am gonna buy my piece from Vedam. 2nd day after my visit I got confused. I mean they have soooo huge variety I couldn’t decide. So I took one more day. Finally after seeing 300+ lehenga I finalised my piece. Thanks to Vedam each and every guest complement me, so my dear “bride to be”s must try Vedam before finalising your lehenga.

I do applaud the massive collection that they have, but it gets a bit tiring to shop the way that they make you shop. instead of having most of the clothes on racks, for you to go through and choose at sight, you have to wait while they bring out a dress one at a time - for you to either like or dismiss. Takes up quite a bit of time for shoppers who are in a hurry. It is understandable though, that it's because their collection is too large for their racks to hold. I got my reception dress from them and they were extremely quick with the tailoring. Received a lot of compliments on the dress too!

They specialise in trendy yet modern outfits and traditional including light weight lehengas. It is also a great option when it comes to wedding outfit as they offered it to me with great quality work and latest design.

I wore a Fuchsia colored lehenga detailed with heavy gold embroidery work. They were bit expensive but it was totally worth it.

Very bad experience . These guys are totally unprofessional. Not even a designer they should be retail shop. Won’t change a decision on 1 day difference just wanted to get a different design. Won’t change colors even. This is not good business and should be reported to the consumer affair. Everywhere in the world they give an option at least to change the product even if they don’t give money back . This is pure cheating the customers. Really bad experience :(

I bought my wedding outfit from Vedam and it is a good place to do wedding shopping with good staff. I really liked my wedding outfit.

I picked two of my wedding Lehengas from Vedam and that too on the same day. I really like their bridal collection, everything was extremely beautiful and so eye-catching. I had a lovely shooping experience with them and I absolutely both the Lehengas I got. I had issues with their customer services though. I had to go to them numerous times for the trials. So, this is something that should be improved. Thanks a lot, anyway.

It's a store full of wearable. Nodesiggner was there to assist. Collection was nice but as said lack of professional interaction made me unhappy

Collection was nice that time. But very unprofessionals. When asked about the budget I replied any budget,.. then was shown a no of pieces and I didn't liked any, so at last they showed their poor faces and started behaving like i had committed crime. I felt so bad. Never recommend.

This was the second wedding gown I purchased at VEDAM. One sister selected a dress from this shop 2 years ago, and my other sister selected one this year. Besides that, 5 bridesmaids also purchased their dresses from this shop this year and I, as a bride, also purchased my all dress here. The staff were very friendly and helpful; they made the selection process fun! This shop has a huge selection of wedding gowns and dresses for the wedding party; it was easy to find styles that suited everyone in the wedding party. Especially helpful and friendly. This will always be our first stop for special occasions in the future!

My husband bought his wedding outfit from here and when the sales person were showing him the outfits they were the sweetest person on earth and the most respecting staff with proper professionalism.When the sherwani was purchased and everything was done they changed their behaviour in seconds and then they were the most ignorant illiterate and inhuman with no mannerism.From then onwards it was a pain and shame to visit there or call them for any issues because it seemed as if they were just interested in money and no service in return.I saw lehengas for myself too but they were literally forcing them on me and those copied lehengas from designers were so overpriced that i could buy the original ones if i paid some more for them.

Arrogant bunch of lying THUGS who lack respect for Timelines and their customer's time. They are very friendly during the sales phase and show nice collections well copied from top designers. My family bought around 12 sets of dresses from here at very high rates. They put on random Rates from their own mind and do not give details of the order properly. No discount was given saying their service is perfect. To be honest their service is garbage. Till now they have failed all deadlines for trials and have cancelled 1 order after 10 days of taking order. Most amazing part is the Rudeness and shear unashamedly through which they inform about their delays and soon after informing they stop picking callbacks on those numbers. During first round of trials most of the dresses have had either damaged fabric or wrong measurements. Worst part is they declined to acknowledge the order of one piece of clothes after confirming about it multiple times during our followup calls for Trial. They have now declined to give trial of the rest of the dresses and insisted on delivering it directly on my wedding day! Most unprofessional bunch in Kolkata. I am worried that I at least get the clothes before my wedding and hoping that at least the quality of delivery isn't as bad as their customer service as that will be catastrophic.

Ruining wedding outfits and not even apologizing about it. That?s exactly what these guys do! The multi designer store was highly recommended to me while I was scouting for a place to do my wedding shopping. While the shopping there was great, the unprofessionalism and hooliganism of the executives are appalling, especially considering the kind of price you charge for your disgusting after-sale service. For all those who are headed to this store, here are 3 things you should know: 1. These guys demand full payment in advance, only to aid their take-it-or-leave-it attitude at the time of delivery. 2. They will charge you for alterations and modifications only to hand you the same product dry-cleaned at the time of delivery. Not an additional thread on the garment! 3. The sales executives there are the most untrained, unruly and unprofessional bunch! The city doesn?t have too many of such stores and that?s probably the reason these guys get away with their disgusting service. Also, when they know the clients are from another city, they think it?s time for picnic. My take ? go to a professional boutique in your own city. It will save you time, money and facing a lot of harassment!

Horrible experience. I have purchased my Reception lehenga as well as my husbands indo western from the vedam. And the biggest mistake we had made was making the entire. We had been harassed by staff like anything. At first they faultered from the promised date of delivery. Secondly they kept calling us for trial of the clothes and they differed. I kept taking leave from office to get the trail but they never stuck with the given date. I’m repenting the day i went to vedam to purchase my wedding outfit. And they charge exuberant for the clothes. The amount you spend on your outfit in vedam u rather purchase it from a good boutique or even good designer. Atleast ull get a better service and good quality.

I bought a indo western wear but was not satisfied as thefitting was worse

I went to Vedam to get my wedding lehenga but end up buying nothing as the staff's behaviour was extremely unprofessional and unpleasant. He asked me questions like if I would make the decision or my parents, will I make decision today or I need few days time and stuff like that. Based on my answer he would show me the lehenga otherwise he cannot afford to waste his time. Are we going to buy vegetables from the market over here? If we are buying a 50k lehenga the least we expect is good behaviour and professionalism. Disgusting staff and disgusting place. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Considering Vedam is one of the biggest stores in Kolkatta, I was really impressed with the collection and had placed an order for my bridal lehanga. However, I was highly disappointed with I what I received from the store. The work done on the lehanga was not neat nor as intricate as the lehanga that I was shown by the store. Since, I don't live in Kolkatta, I didnt even have the time to take the lehanga back and show them the differences between what they had shown me at the store vis-a-vis the lehanga that I got. I am never stepping into this store again

This store is a blessing for all would-be brides and her family members. Brilliant bridal wear is available in this store. The boutique has both bridal wears and also an exclusive prt section, where you can find some of the best pieces available in the city. VEDAM collection is something that I would love to wear for my wedding ... and I am sure their collection at Kolkata's outlets is just what will make me look a die for bride.

This three storeyed store is well organised showcasing collection by Rohit Bal, Manish Arora, Anand Kabra, Tarun Thiliani, Gaurav Gupta and many more. Vedam has beautifully embroidered lehengas, sarees, suits and flared gowns.This is the best place in town for bridal wear and occasional wear. Vedam also has a sassy collection of evening gowns and chic cocktail dresses. It has a wonderful clothing collection for every occasion, may it be mehendi, sangeet, wedding reception, or an engagement party. The store even has a stunning section for men?s wear ranging from kurtas, indo-western, jackets to sherwanis. Along with elegant occasional wear and bridal wear, this place has an enchanting collection of clutch bags and footwear. I highly recommend this place for bridal wear and occasional wear.
