A Pink & White Picture-Perfect Tuscany Wedding

From the beautiful backdrop to the couple looking vibrant in their bright pinks, this was a wedding that demands to be seen! Meet Aish and Sahil

Aish and Sahil met at a play through a mutual friend. In 2023, during a visit to India, Sahil accompanied this friend to a theater where Aish was performing in a play called "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" As she prepared for the production, Aish's goal was simple: to make the audience feel a little more loved and a little less alone. Little did she know that among the viewers that night was Sahil, who would change her life forever. From perfect strangers, they became life partners.

Sahil, who shared a love for theater, was captivated by Aish's performance and felt an immediate connection with her. After the play, they spent time together with their mutual friend, which led to them exchanging numbers and starting a conversation. What began as casual texts and phone calls quickly grew into something deeper, and they soon realized they were meant to grow old together.

Years earlier, Aish had written a short film titled "Table for One," about a woman dining alone in a Parisian restaurant, inspired by Le Grand Colbert. Sahil found the script, rewrote the ending, and titled it "Table for Two." They flew to Paris, and in that very restaurant, with both their families present, Sahil proposed to Aish.

Shortly after, they began planning their wedding, which took place in the stunning setting of Tuscany, Italy.

Mehendi-Haldi Welcome Lunch

Their Mehendi-Haldi function was an elegant Italian brunch with vineyard views, blending tradition with relaxation and fun. Rich blue and yellow linens, geometric patterns, and lemon motifs set the tone, with real lemons adorning the couple's backdrop, centerpieces, and a limoncello favor wall. While embracing an Italian vibe, the event maintained Indian traditions by incorporating a Haldi ceremony, where guests applied Haldi to Aish and Sahil, followed by a flower shower. Mehendi artists, traditional potli giveaways with beaded hair clips and bindis, and an emcee-led icebreaker games ensured everyone felt engaged.

The bar menu featured themed drinks like Vitamin C shots and Orange Sunrise, and even the dress code matched the Italian theme. To kick off the celebration, Aish and Sahil made a grand entrance on a Vespa to a popular Italian song, setting the perfect tone for the festivities.

Sangeet

Their Sangeet featured hues of purple, touches of gold, and chandeliers, creating a glamorous backdrop for lively dance performances by family and friends. The dress code matched the theme, adding to the event's elegance. The couple's energetic entrance set the tone, leading into a magical dance with 15 cold pyros.

Family and friends performed, followed by a dance face-off hosted by the emcee, blending Gujarati and Punjabi cultures. Punjabis learned Dandiya, and Gujaratis performed Bhangra, creating a beautiful cultural exchange. The night ended with an after-party that lasted until 4 AM. Guests were provided with hand and body warmers, and the bar menu featured his and her favorite drinks, all customized to the theme.

Wedding 

The wedding ceremony was designed in shades of pink and white, with the bride in a carrot-pink lehenga and guests dressed in ivory to match the theme. Held in front of a historic chapel surrounded by lush trees, the setting had a vintage charm that made the décor and guests stand out.

Traditional Indian customs were honored throughout. The event began with a baby pink safa bandhi ceremony, followed by a lively baraat with the groom arriving on a white horse and six dholwalas. The bride's family welcomed the baraatis, leading into a milni ceremony. Aish walked down the aisle with a bouquet, and the varmala was a beautiful moment with white flowers showered over the couple. The wedding included all traditional elements, from pheras to the sindoor ceremony. Guests were given pink mocktails as they bid farewell to the couple.

The vidaai was a touching scene, with Aish throwing rice and departing in a classic white vintage car with a "Just Married" sign. Personal touches included reserved seating for family, castle-shaped phera information cards, umbrellas for shade, flower cones for guests to shower on the couple, and hand-painted floral handkerchiefs for "happy tears" during the vidaai.

A three-piece instrumental band from Italy played soothing music during the ceremony, and after the wedding, Aish and Sahil exchanged vows with custom calligraphy in front of Tuscany's scenic views.

Reception

       

The reception had a classic chic look, with a décor palette of white, green, gold, and chandeliers. Unlike the other events, which blended Indian and international cultures, the reception embraced a traditional international concept. Guests followed a formal dress code: gold for the ladies and black tie for the men.

The evening began with a cocktail hour featuring fun drinks and starters. The reception was a formal seated affair, where guests found their names on a seating chart. At their tables, they were welcomed with personalized name tags, a printed five-course menu, and table settings that included custom mats and cutlery. Each table was named after a city or country Aish and Sahil had visited together, with fun facts about the couple on the tissue papers.

Aish and Sahil made a dreamy entrance through dry ice as Mr. and Mrs., followed by heartfelt toasts, a father-daughter and mother-son dance, and the couple’s first dance surrounded by dry ice and cold pyros. The evening concluded with the cutting of Italy's famous Millefoglie cake and a two-minute fireworks display that left guests in awe. Additional touches included a fun photo booth where guests could take home Polaroid-style pictures.
