Celebrity Brides: Jewellery Edition!

BY Apoorva | 12 Apr, 2023 | 2722 views | 5 min read

Bridal lehengas from celebrity weddings have always broken the internet, but we believe no bridal look is complete without stunning jewellery. Get ready to be dazzled by the most beautiful and unique jewellery designs worn by some of our favourite celebrity brides. From Alanna Pandey to Priyanka Chopra, their stunning jewellery pieces have left us awestruck. We bring to you how each of these brides styled different bridal jewellery looks that we loved!

Kiara Advani

The one celeb bride whose jewellery got more attention than her bridal lehenga! From her mehendi to her wedding, all of her jewels were noteworthy. Kiara donned a traditional polka and jadau set for her gorgeous mehendi. We loved the layering with the rani haar and touch of pink rubies from Manish Malhotra’s latest jewellery launch. The jhumkis were a stunning bridal touch with that braid. For her wedding, she went all statement-like with that emerald haar with her bridal pink lehenga. She kept it simple by just going all out with one statement set and studded earrings. The sangeet was a minimal yet head-turning look with a single stone pendant with that plunge neck blouse! And for the finale, Kiara opted for layered emerald haar that contrasted with that stunning black and white ensemble!  It was a combination of three layered necklaces- a magnificent choker, a layered diamond necklace and a long laureate necklace- all from Manish Malhotra Jewellery.

WMG LOVED: We loved how she contrasted her jewellery in such a stunning way, allowing the jewellery to shine through in all her bridal looks!

Alanna Pandey

While Alanna’s bridal outfits were stunning, her jewellery was absolutely bang on! For her mehendi she went for a muted co-ordinated set in quartz with just a mangtika and statement earrings. Leaving her neck bare, she allowed her fun outfit to do the talking. For the wedding look, she went with a monotone all-diamond look. She paired her statement chokers from Manish Malhotra’s collection and paired them with some beautiful earrings along with a dainty maangtika, very subtle and beautiful! We also loved the minimal kaleeras that matched with her pure-white lehenga. And for her last look for her reception, she went all out contrasting emerald jewellery with her champagne gold look.

WMG LOVED: What we loved was she kept it very different for each look, allowing herself to experiment with different styles of jewellery for each event! And those minimal stunning kaleeras.

Athiya Shetty

If unique bridal looks had a definition, Athiya was it in 2023! For her mehendi look, we loved the heirloom touch of her nani’s chaandbali earrings and maangtika. Her muhuratham look was so spectacular – that we loved it the best. Her traditional South Indian choker and the ghuttapusalu necklace were such a fresh look. Don’t forget that stack of kadas and bangles. Her reception jewellery was minimal and traditional with a single-layer choker and mangalsutra. For the wedding, she went all out with a statement bib-style necklace in uncut diamonds with the single polki drop maang tikka by Birdhichand. Absolutely jaw-dropping!

WMG LOVED: How she picked such unique and refreshing jewellery pieces – right from her heirloom collection to statement bib jewellery pieces.

Alia Bhatt

While her white and gold look kick-started a bridal trend in 2022 wedding, her jewellery made quite a splash too. She went with a bib style polki necklace and a stunning sispatti with a maangtika. We loved the stack of kadas with some bridal chudda bangles and personalised kaleeras. Keeping it all neutral in gold, she played to the palette. For her mehendi she opted for fun colours, just like her lehenga but kept it simple with one necklace and a maangtika!

WMG LOVED: That stack of kadas with chooda + that stunning sispatti on her wedding day!

Katrina Kaif

Katrina kaif’s bridal jewellery was all about keeping it traditional. For the wedding she went with a vintage choker style necklace, jhumkis and a two-layered maangtika. She opted for all gold kada stack with a red chooda that we loved! The engagement look was accentuated by a statement uncut diamond choker detailed with opals and pale Russian emeralds, with matching earrings from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.

WMG LOVED: That experimental double-layered maathapatti!

Priyanka Chopra

When old is gold you cannot ignore it. Five years later, PeeCee’s bridal jewellery is still a vibe. For her mehendi, she styled her look with a multi layered silver and diamond encrusted peacock haar. It was so gorgeous and unique. For the Hindu wedding, she aced that layering game with single-strand solitaire strings to elaborate diamond haars. Absolute win!

WMG LOVED: We are still not over that diamond layering she rocked for her wedding!

Arpita Mehta

This designer bride left no stone unturned to style her bridal look with elegance. Her mehendi jewellery was a mint green set of statement jewellery with the waterfall earrings, the hand harness and the layered necklace was absolutely mesmerising. For the wedding she opted for minimal jewellery – a diamond and emerald duo and with a blush pink chooda set!

WMG LOVED: That mint green layered necklace with chandbalis have our heart!

Mouni Roy

This two-states wedding was a total hit. But more than anything, Mouni’s South Indian bridal jewellery is what caught our eye. She went with traditional temple jewellery, layering a gold choker with an antique ganpati haar. She went with all-gold jhumkis and a stunning maathpatti, again in gold. We loved this contrast to her lovely white and red kanjeevaram saree!

WMG LOVED: Keeping it all gold and traditional!
