When the bride is an event planner herself, you know things have to be perfect and personalised! Akanksha and Ankit had their dream wedding in Thailand and we loved the vibe it had- right from the intimate welcome dinner to the beautiful wedding right by the seaside in a magical mandap. Akanksha's easy bridal style was inspirational too- perfect for a destination wedding. We loved the breezy energy of the mehendi, and the small little ideas at the event are cute to bookmark and save! From The Bride:
The wedding took place on December 16th 2022. The wedding was held in Angsana Resort, Phuket, Thailand - the vision was taking inspiration from the serene beach and lagoon of the venue for the day events, and the glitz and glam of Dubai and New York based on the bride and groom's cities for the evening events. With the bride being an event planner herself, each event had a unique identity and aimed to feel fresh and different.
A never-seen-before 'floating baraat' - where the sehera bandi was held on a floating bar, followed by the groom's arrival on a traditional Thai boat, followed by his family on boats in a procession. While in most weddings, its the bride's entrance which is the main 'wow' moment, the couple decided on creating this one-of-a kind experience for the baraatis and put the groom in the spotlight! In addition, Hariharan - the famed Indian classical and Bollywood singer - was a close friend to the family and graced the occasion with an impromptu performance and also composed a religious song especially for the bride and groom's walk to the mandap.

She did an incredible job at creating a different look for each event. She was dedicated, and we spent a lot of time together pre-wedding on the outfits, jewelry, hair and looks to ensure it came out well on the day.
