We got married in Hua Hin, Thailand and it was a three day affair. In a nutshell, I always wanted a big fat wedding and by some cosmic miracle, everything, every tiny detail, all of it just worked out perfectly. We had the Cocktail Night Theme, Cirque Lu Soir, a black tie event, with all the men dressed in tuxedos and women in gowns. Our entry was with fire dancers from Koh Samui and little did I know, a surprise was awaiting me as we entered the venue. Munal had planned a surprise proposal for me just before the ring ceremony. All his sisters were holding banners with the most beautiful love quotes written on them. He went down on his knees and I knew that he was the man of my dreams.
Then, it was the Neon party with the Carnival theme where we had test tube shots, neon paints, neon wristbands and oversized heart shades for everyone. Munal and I entered the party in a rickshaw with balloons on my favourite song Despacito.
My Mehendi theme was a beachside mela within a variety of games and Punjabi-themed cuisine. There was a colourful stage right in the centre, pink bar with the most beautiful beach backdrop and an awesome host from Mumbai playing the popular Gutthi character of the Kapil Sharma show. When my husband entered I welcomed him at the entrance while performing on "mera piya ghar aya’ along with my entire family.
My Sangeet theme was the Enchanted Garden with a complete LED stage and the performances were themed around the 24 (the TV show) concept, we basically played pre-recorded clippings of the day when both of us tried to tell our respective families about our intention to marry. We then had a Pool Party and Haldi where the tshirts of the brides side said *team dulhania* the grooms crew wore tshirts which said *tinku the vyah*.
Our wedding was a dream, I entered on the tunes of Din Shagna which has been my dream forever, the grooms side rocked in with a cool car-o-bar and a never ending baraat. Noor band from Delhi made it perfect moment with sufi songs and truly one could feel that love was in the air.
