We Need To Stop Doing These Things For 2020 Weddings!

BY Sakshi | 15 Jan, 2020 | 1492 views | 3 min read

So one thing you have to do here is trust us! Yep, we know weddings, so we know what's in and what's out- but we also know what's done to death- like, seriously. There are so many things that brides and grooms need to stop doing in 2020- things that are not just cliche, but overly done and dusted! If you still love the trend, please go ahead by all means, but if you can avoid it, please do!

Here are some of our suggestions!

Please no more 'Frozen Disney Princess' look

Seriously- it's a good look for a 5 year old girl on her birthday party but not so much when you're 25. The whole dreamy Barbie or Disney princess look is so cliche and done and dusted for engagements and receptions, that you can really experiment and try a new vibe instead of looking like a grown up child!

Stop entering in super dramatic and tacky settings

Entering in a gigantic floral peacock or a massive bejewelled throne- dramatic over the top bridal or couple entries can look too much and tacky- so opt for something fun and breezy instead, while still being the showstopper!

Avoid long and complicated hashtags

Hashtags are a good trend, but not when it's so long and complicated that no one gets it- keep it simple or fun, but without sounding like a wannabe one!

Give elaborate stage setups a miss!

Those tacky stages with a cliche phrase and florals- try going stageless instead! Saves you the trouble of standing and smiling like mannequins- instead go and mingle with the guests and have more fun at your own wedding!

Give the cliche phrases a miss

You know, the 'we decided on forever' types! They've been done to death, and we highly suggest coming up with something new!

Contrasting costume jewellery with green beads is done to death now!

Ok, it still looks nice, but something that's really done and dusted now- the whole red or pastel lehenga with the costume jewellery with green plastic beads- try something new instead!

Skip the elaborate and dramatic pre wedding shoots with grand setups

Never been fans, and still aren't. Pre wedding shoots are more about chemistry than the setup- and doing something celebrating your love instead of going over the top is always a good idea.

Grand and gaudy weddings with wastage need to go!

The need of the hour is more environmentally conscious weddings not those that generate a waste of food, money and a lot more!
