The husband and woman are of the same quality before God, since both are made in God's picture. The partner is to like his wife as Jesus loved the church. He has the God-given duty to support, defend, and take his home. The woman is to refer herself graciously to the servant position of her husband just as the faith willingly submits to the headship of Jesus. She, being in this picture of God as equal to her husband and therefore the same as him, has the God-given duty to accept her partner and
