I had booked Uzma for my wedding on November 29. This is not to malign anyone but according to me, a bride is supposed to look and feel her best on her wedding day, sadly this was not the case. I do my own makeup since years and would like to point out some glaring issues. 1) Coverage- As someone with hyperpigmentation, I had arranged a separate meeting to make sure Uzma knows how particular I am about having it covered, but the coverage was so poor, marks were still visible- marks which are covered with just medium coverage foundation. It felt like the MUA was stingy with her product. 2) Shade- Shade was far too light and too yellow for my skin tone 3) Blush placement was way off for me. It was dragging my face down. 4) ZERO effort was put into eye makeup. It didn't match what I wanted. I asked for brown, she used pink.The colour was too dull. Pressed glitter wasn't used. She either didn't have it or didn't want to use it. 5) There was barely any foundation on my neck with obvious demarcation. 6) Finally, she didn't tell me she had a waiting charge. We didn't mind paying but transparency is crucial. Moreover she is very familiar with her rates but tried to charge me more by claiming that guest makeup was much lesser than it was. Had to remind her that I remember her rates after which she reduced the price. All this happened ON my wedding day. Trying to fool us like that when we were busy and preoccupied is so wrong. Overall, her hairstylist and saree draper was good, polite and professional Just a word of caution, ok for parties and small gatherings but for your big day please think twice. I didnt receive any professionalism. I wish I had done my own makeup. :(
