Believe me when I say, I searched high and low for MUAs that could work with my skin tone as well as my preferences, especially when I know nothing of this world. I did not come across on Ansh Bakshi's profile by chance, he was referred by 5 people. 5!! People with completely different social circles and no common connections. In my (not so humble) opinion, he works like a dream, his work speaks for itself (the makeup stayed intact for well over 8 hours , not a smidge) and on top of that he is so polite that it leaves you speechless. My brother, who is an artist himself, couldn't stop complimenting his work (the last prior he had was my engagement wherein a local MUA tried over correct for my skin tone, think white). I kept looking at his profile until I finally decided that he is the one I am going forward with. You won’t believe but it’s true that even before finalising venue I contacted Ansh for all the wedding functions as soon as my dates were finalised because I did not want to miss on him. Genuineness of Ansh is such that from the first moment I booked him till today, I have found him really passionate and dedicated about his work. This is one of the reasons that he is one of the go to persons for bride who are looking to make their day super special. Ansh is not just a makeup artist, he would be your confidante who makes sure that you look the most beautiful and real bride on your special day. From my personal experience, I can tell you by the time wedding related stuff starts taking a toll on you, it will be the makeup segment that you will be most relaxed about. I remember him simply messaging him about his travel plan and writing a line that, “I want to sort out these extra management things asap, as I am really nervous about the day”. From having paneer parantha to calming me on wedding day, he was the constant. Ansh did my makeup for sangeet, Mehndi and wedding and also did my mothers makeup for Sangeet and wedding. Ansh is simply amazing. While searching for an MUA for my big days, I reached out to so many accounts on Instagram. As the dates were heavy, all I heard was no, but then someone recommended me Ansh Bakshi. To be honest, never heard about him or never saw his Instagram account, I was kinda apprehensive about him first. But then, we connected over a call and he was so sweet and kind to answer all my doubts that I instantly felt connected to him and made up my mind to have him not only doll me up for my engagement and bridal looks, but also trusted him with my mother’s makeup as well. A little story time: I had a pretty much last minute venue change situation where the entire wedding was moved from my hometown to Mumbai(city that was all alien to me when it comes to wedding prep) due to unseen circumstances. The makeup was clean, beautiful and subtle, just as I wanted. It did not budge throughout the day and I carried it in the after party with my friends post the engagement. One of the best make up artist I have come across. Met this boy for the very first time and became great friends with him. He is not only great at what he does he also makes his clients feel at home. Every "bride to be" does a lot of research to buy the best wedding trousseau, hire a good photographer and most importantly a FAB MAKE-UP ARTIST. So did I! I was very clear that for a day-time wedding I wanted a mix of natural and high shine makeup so I explored zillions of options as I didn't want my makeup to be very loud or look too glossy on me. I met Ansh a couple of hours before my brother's Shagan over a cup of tea.. I was just pleased to meet him finally .. and I knew he is a friend for ever..no drama just a pure character. Loved him... I left it to Ansh, to do what ever he thinks will go with my personality and this is what he did x I was surprised that HE HARDLY TOOK ANY TIME, he had a vision which I was grateful for.. On shagan I was over the moon as my recent hair charity has left me with insanely short hair to manage..but when I heard Ansh explain to the hairdresser what he could do with my hair... I was impressed. I promise. I did not look at myself until i was completely ready, both days!...and totally impressed! On the Wedding day...he did something I would have never imagined i would do for my brothers wedding... and he left me nothing but impressed again.. no buns, no pins no clips, no extensions just a bit of hairspray. Infact I felt so free that day ,It compensated for the weight of the lehnga🤐. His hair and drape team is punctual and work orderly with what you request,with passion,style and artistry. I do now think,it was a good idea to have a cup of tea and a chilled out chat with him.. so he got to know my taste..but what he has done... made me up..
