Apart from just being incredibly passionate about her work, Nikhita as a person is extremely warm and patient. She's someone who'll go out of her way to make you feel comfortable and confident. Nikhita and I crossed paths when I was looking for recommendations for a Bridal designer and she kindly recommended a few. Through our conversation, I came to know that Nikhita also did Bridal hair and makeup which I also needed. I hired her services and her colleague for my 2 Bridesmaids. As I have combination skin wherein I tend to get Oily under bright light, I told Nikhita to keep my make up more on the matte and subtle look. I have issues using Kajal so we eliminated it. My D-Day came, and my make up was just what I wanted. Au naturel and subtle with a bit of color pop here and there. My 2 bridesmaids, even their hair and make up was done very well and considering I had one of them young. It was very difficult for me to find make-up artists who worked on dusky skin tones with the degree of subtlety that I was looking for. But I happened to stumble upon Nikhita's work on Instagram and loved this picture of one of her brides who was going for a minimalistic look. That became my reference point and on meeting Nikhita (who is awfully sweet and warm) I was convinced she could help me with creating the minimal make-up look I wanted without it being drab at the same time. I came across Nikhita’s profile on insta while searching out for a MUA for my wedding. From the time I got in touch with her, she made me feel extremely comfortable with the whole process. Not being someone used to too much makeup, I had only one criteria, to make it as natural as possible. She listened through all my concerns and demands, and never said no. Nikhita made me feel nothing but fabulous on my special day. She was the only person who also offered a full hair and makeup trial as part of the package. Nikhita has been the best and easiest person to work with !! She beautifully created the various looks for both of my special days. One for the traditional Malayali wedding and Second being the traditional Catholic wedding. I remember how super amazing the trials were with her from her being receptive to her bride and understanding what they would want to look like on their day, to her adding her skill and expertise in makeup to suggest what would suit them the best. Apart from that she is just a very beautiful human being and for me it was very important to be comfortable around the person who would be doing my makeup since I wanted to be free to express my views. Nikhita was just that. Extremely soft spoken, polite and receptive. I don’t think there was a single awkward moment with her. I remember asking for all last minute additions and changes in the looks after my trials and she never really fussed about it. She made sure I was absolutely comfortable with all the looks. Coming to the looks created for both the days, I wanted all of them to be natural and not extremely loud. Nikhita did just that. Her base makeup is flawless and the skin looks so natural and dewy after she’s done with it. The eye makeup and hair dos were perfect. A special mention to the hair do for the Malayali reception which I was totally in love with. It was created with pink carnations and baby’s breath. I remember we had just half an hour to touch up the makeup and create the hair do( something that I spoke to her about just the previous day of the wedding). The hair turned out to be an absolute treat to my eyes and she recreated for me a look exactly as I had imagined and hoped for it to look like.
