Phishing Link Leads to 70 BTC and 300 Ethereum Loss from Ledger Nano X, Recovered by BitReclaim A devastating phishing scam led to the loss of 70 BTC and 300 Ethereum from a Ledger Nano X wallet. The victim had not accessed their wallet in over a year and had no interactions with dApps, yet their funds were drained. It was discovered that the victim had clicked on a phishing link during a remote Ledger Nano X update, allowing scammers to gain access to their recovery phrase. This gave the attackers full control of the wallet. Thankfully, BitReclaim stepped in and used their forensic expertise to trace the stolen funds to leveraged outsourced wallets. After a successful recovery effort, the victim’s assets were returned.
