Now this wedding stands out for so many reasons! Not only was it an Indo-Dutch wedding, with guests from all over the world, it also looked like a riot. The bride, who wanted to go down the sustainable route, rented all her bridal outfits, and we loved how she got to wear her fave designer - not once, but twice! Definitely that and a lot of other inspiration that new age brides can take from Tanvi and Bouke's wedding, which was filled with so much fun and love. The photos captured by Mohit Jaura Photography made the wedding look even more beautiful.
Meet Tanvi and Bouke
"We met through friends", Tanvi tells us.

Reception
From The Bride:
We hosted a small wedding for friends and family only. We followed the Indian traditions and rituals. However, we tried to celebrate all occasions with both sides since one side was Dutch.
The Sangeet day we had kept village theme, so the decor was all in vibrant pink and yellow colour. The wedding day it was all peach with white flowers and the shaadi Mandap was beautifully done with marigold flowers strewn all over. The wedding reception was held in the evening. The decor was all in white and gold. The tables were decorated with lit candles and beautiful flower arrangement on it. A dash of silver and sparkle, hanging lights and lanterns all around created a fairy tale like ambience. The reception decor was very classy, elegant and subtle. We got compliments from various guests that they rarely see such beautiful and classy decor in Indian weddings.

It's honestly hard to select a wedding photographer, but after receiving Mohit Jaura's pictures, we couldn't be happier with our choice. Highly recommended!
Bridal Outfits
Stage3 Social and Flyrobe. I am a huge believer in sustainable fashion and I was very happy to have found these amazing shops that support this cause and rent out bridal wear. They were very helpful since my mother had to do my first fittings. And I was delighted that I got to wear my dream designer Sabyasachi for two occasions during my wedding.
Makeup Artist: Ankana Mediratta
My mother found her through colleagues. Ankana is very professional. She knew exactly what look would suit me on which day. She is also fun to be around. Her bubbly personality pepped me up. Supriya Bedi the make artist is a professional who did the make up the Bouke the groom’s family members and for Tanvi, the bride’s mother. She is very professional and understood what we wanted minimalistic , subtle makeup for the grooms side of the family. She came home personally to check the outfits and jewellery to match the make up with our ensemble. The eye makeup (smoky look with bronze glitter shadow ) done for Tanvi’s mom in the reception day was spectacular and praised by all the wedding guests.
Groomwear
As a foreigner, navigating the Indian wedding clothes market is quite overwhelming. Thankfully, my family-in-law had already circled a few excellent shops, and I managed to buy almost all my outfits at Manyavar and Louis Philippe. The staff was incredibly patient, and helped a lot with selecting the right clothes.
Invitations
Jasmita Dalmi. My amazing friend / graphic designer helped us with our beautiful invitation cards. She worked meticulously to get every single detail right, while somehow managing different expectations of all family members.
Decorator
Mr. Kishore BK tent and Kamal the florist were hired for decoration. They were in tandem with each other. We found Mr. BK Kishore a thorough professional who has many years of experience. We wanted elegant, classy, décor, not over the top or loud for the wedding. He understood our requirements and patiently sat with us for days discussing each and every aspect. He has tremendous patience and showed us countless pictures taking inputs from us constantly and would not give up till we were completely satisfied — and the result showed on all the three days! His charges are high but he was very involved and his work is impressive.
