Ideas We Loved At This Vintage-Inspired Palace Wedding In Hyderabad

When the bride-to-be is a Bridgerton fan, you know the mood board has got to be influenced by the show, especially if it is a palace wedding! Real bride Ankita Brahmaroutu had a wedding which was inspired by the Regency era of the British, and the wedding is definitely one that stood out. The neurology physician planned her wedding to her investment-banker beau Lee Summerlin at the Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, and the wedding had so many ideas worth taking inspiration from. Planned beautifully by Gala Events, it was a modern day royal wedding come to life!

A Croquet Pool Party

The wedding day was heavily inspired by Bridgerton. The started with a croquet and pool party which was fashioned like an English tea party with a colour palette of pastel pink and blue. 

Unique Wedding Favours

The wedding favours included a hand-written note on vintage telegram-inspired stationery from Etsy, an embroidered linen napkin with the wedding crest, Indian spices and cold-pressed coconut oil.

A Carnival Mehendi-cum-Sangeet 

Life-sized games like tic-tac-toe and Jenga kept the guests entertained as they browsed the various booths with giveaways and knick-knacks.

An wedding fit for royalty

The palace wedding was elegant as the ethereal bride walked to her groom. A local band from Kerala played at the baraat while the couple wed to the sound of Vedic chants.

The reception took place at the imperial Chowmahalla Palace, where guests could tour the grounds and view the Nizam’s vintage car collection in between the function too.
