We concluded my daughter's marriage earlier this month. As with any such event the preparations were going on for the last several months and we found the right partner to help us in this in Meragi. Me as well as some members across our extended family were not very sure if we really need the services of a wedding planner or if they can add any value or if there is anything they can do that we cannot do. Thankfully we went ahead with Meragi and we have no regrets. These people know their stuff and seamlessly arranged everything end-to-end. They know the right vendors across - be it the big ticket items like photography, or make-up artist or mehendi or catering or venue selection to the seemingly less critical ones like band, ghodi for baraat or putting hampers, things like mosquito repellant in each of the guest rooms. They had it all covered. Decor is their forte and here too we were not disappointed. There were multiple iterations of the design, the layout etc. We did not want it to look too gaudy at the same time wanted to keep the expenses in check. The team patiently assisted us in all these iterations before we finalized on the decor. The end result after multiple in-person visits to the venue was absolutely spot on, the way we had envisaged it. The team assigned to us comprised of Vinay, Bhumiti and Shravani and each one of them contributed exceedingly in making this event a memorable one for us. They were there with us in the blistering summer heat searching for just the right sort of gift bags in the heart of Chickpet. They were assisting us find the right vendor who could give a nice gift packing and they were always available in helping to negotiate the right prices. I was particularly impressed to see all three work almost the whole night on the first day of the event and still be available early next day (well before 6AM). Be it helping arrange an extra 20 mattresses in the middle of the night in the middle nowhere (our venue was remote) or making sure all venues (we had 3-4 different venues in the same larger venue) are turned around well within the time allotted and without disturbing the flow of events they handled it all very well. A friend of mine from Delhi, a place known for its weddings observed how impressed he was with the speed at which these guys are turning around in preparing the venue. I have just one suggestion for Meragi, they can do even better by adding some more vendors to their list especially in things like managing hospitality. Rest everything is just fine.
